Only fourteen on today, as the Royals and Twins were rained out. The rest of the games begin with another matinee from...

Washington added on in the fifth inning when Harper singled both Suzuki and Werth across the dish. The Nationals padded the lead in the eighth inning with a two-run home run by Zimmerman, also scoring Werth. This made the final 10-0, with Gonzalez turning in a five-hit and three-walk complete game shutout, and Wainwright had little help in the loss.

The Athletics hit the magical 20 in the eighth inning as Kotteras went yard again, a two-run blast that also brought in Rosales. This made it 20-2, with McCarthy having the epitome of run support in the win, while Cook (and Alfredo Aceves, Daniel Bard, Craig Breslow, Mark Melancon, and Vicente Padilla; we spare no suckers here, except for Junichi Tazawa's clean performance) were shelled in the loss.
