NHL 2022 Eastern Conference Finals - Game 6

The Tampa Bay Lightning are back home with a chance to advance as they host the New York Rangers. Igor Shesterkin and Andrei Vasilevskiy tend the twines. Tampa Bay got going in the second period with a Steven Stamkos goal, his eighth of the postseason, via Ondrej Palat and Mikhail Sergachev. New York tied it in the third period with a Frank Vatrano power play goal, his fifth of the playoffs, powered by Andrew Copp. The Lightning replied with a Stamkos goal, his second of the game and ninth of the postseason, passed from Nikita Kucherov and Palat. This made it 2-1, the final, with the three stars awarded to Stamkos, Vasilevskiy (20 for 21 in saves), and Palat. The Lightning won the series 4-2 and will head to the Stanley Cup Finals against the Colorado Avalanche.

NHL 2022 Eastern Conference Finals - Game 5

We're back in New York as the Rangers welcome the Tampa Bay Lightning. Andrei Vasilevskiy and Igor Shesterkin guard the cages. New York got going in the second period with a Ryan Lindgren goal, his second of the postseason, going in unassisted. Tampa Bay tied it on a Mikhail Sergachev unassisted goal. The Lightning took the lead in the third period with an Ondrej Palat goal, his eighth of the playoffs, courtesy of Sergachev and Victor Hedman. Tampa Bay iced it at 3-1 with a Brandon Hagel empty net goal, his second of the playoffs, set up by Nikita Kucherov. The three stars were Sergachev, Vasilevskiy (24 for 25 in saves), and Palat. The Lightning head back home with a 3-2 series lead.

NHL 2022 Eastern Conference Finals - Game 4

The Tampa Bay Lightning look to even the series as they welcome the New York Rangers. Igor Shesterkin and Andrei Vasilevskiy tend the twines. Tampa Bay got going in the second period with a Pat Maroon goal, his third of the postseason, via Zach Bogosian and Pierre-Edouard Bellemare. The Lightning added on in the second period with a Nikita Kucherov goal, his seventh of the playoffs, assisted by Ondrej Palat and Jan Rutta. Tampa Bay extended the lead in the third period as Steven Stamkos scored his seventh of the postseason, thanks to Palat and Rutta. New York got on the board with an Artemi Panarin power play goal, his sixth of the playoffs, powered by Andrew Copp and Adam Fox. The Lightning iced it at 4-1 with a Palat empty net goal, his seventh of the postseason, going in unassisted. The three stars were Palat, Rutta, and Vasilevskiy (33 for 34 in saves). The series is tied at 2-2 going back to New York.

NHL 2022 Western Conference Finals - Game 4

The Edmonton Oilers face elimination Monday as they host the Colorado Avalanche. Pavel Francouz and Mike Smith man the nets. Colorado began in the first period with a Cale Makar power play goal, his fifth of the postseason, powered by Artturi Lehkonen. Edmonton tied it on a Zach Hyman goal, his tenth of the playoffs, coming off of Leon Draisaitl and Darnell Nurse in the second period. The Oilers took the lead with a Ryan Nugent-Hopkins goal, his sixth of the postseason, going in unassisted. Edmonton added on with a Connor McDavid power play goal, his tenth of the playoffs, with assists provided by Draisaitl and Tyson Barrie. The Avalanche got one back in the third period with a Devon Toews goal, his fifth of the postseason, made possible by Gabriel Landeskog and Makar. The Oilers fired back with a Hyman goal, his second of the game and eleventh of the playoffs, guided in by Draisaitl and McDavid. Colorado pulled back with a Landeskog goal, his eighth of the postseason, helped along by Nathan MacKinnon and Valeri Nichushkin. The Avalanche tied it as MacKinnon scored his eleventh of the playoffs, thanks to Lehkonen and Makar. Colorado took the lead with a Mikko Rantanen power play goal, his fifth of the postseason, with helpers from Makar and Landeskog. Edmonton tied it again with a Zack Kassian goal, his second of the playoffs, fueled by Draisaitl and McDavid. The Avalanche won 6-5 in overtime with a Lehkonen goal, his sixth of the postseason, assisted by Makar and Darren Helm. The three stars were Makar, Lehkonen, and Landeskog, while Hyman, Draisaitl, and McDavid receive the honorable mentions. The Avalanche swept the series 4-0 and will play in the Stanley Cup Finals.

NHL 2022 Eastern Conference Finals - Game 3

We're down in Florida for Game 3, with the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the New York Rangers. Igor Shesterkin and Andrei Vasilevskiy man the nets. New York dented the scoreboard in the second period with a Mika Zibanejad power play goal, his tenth of the postseason, powered by Adam Fox and Artemi Panarin. The Rangers added on with a Chris Kreider power play goal, his tenth of the playoffs, via Zibanejad and Panarin. Tampa Bay got on the board with a Nikita Kucherov power play goal, his sixth of the postseason, with assists provided by Victor Hedman and Steven Stamkos. The Lightning tied it in the third period with a Stamkos power play goal, his sixth of the playoffs, coming off of Corey Perry and Kucherov. Tampa Bay pulled ahead on an Ondrej Palat goal, his sixth of the postseason, fueled by Kucherov and Hedman. This stood for a 3-2 win, with the three stars going to Kucherov, Stamkos, and Zibanejad, while Hedman and Panarin get the honorable mentions. The Rangers have a 2-1 series lead despite this loss.
