The San Jose Earthquakes hosting the Houston Dynamo. Tyler Deric and David Bingham man the nets. Houston opened with Ricardo Clark's tenth minute goal, via Alexander Lopez. The Dynamo goalie, Deric, received a yellow card in the thirty-first minute for a foul. Houston had a yellow card go to DaMarcus Beasley in the thirty-seventh minute for his foul. In first half stoppage time, the Dynamo took two more yellow cards, for fouls by Raul Rodriguez and Nathan Sturgis. Houston added on with a Will Bruin goal in the eighty-first minute, passed from Leonel Miranda. This made it 2-0, the final, with the man of the match being Deric for a three-save clean sheet.
