2023 Eastern Conference Finals - Game 2

We're set for another playoff game, as the Carolina Hurricanes welcome the Florida Panthers. Sergei Bobrovsky and Antti Raanta are between the pipes. Carolina led off in the first period with a Jalen Chatfield goal, via Sebastian Aho and Stefan Noesen. Florida tied it in the second period on an Aleksander Barkov goal, his fourth of the postseason, coming off of Josh Mahura. The Panthers won 2-1 in overtime with a Matthew Tkachuk power play goal, his seventh of the playoffs, powered by Sam Reinhart and Sam Bennett. The three stars were Tkachuk, Barkov, and Bobrovsky (37 for 38 in saves). The Panthers head home up 2-0 in the series.

2023 Western Conference Finals - Game 1

The action heads west, with the Vegas Golden Knights hosting the Dallas Stars. Jake Oettinger and Adin Hill man the nets. Dallas started in the first period with a Jason Robertson goal, his third of the postseason, coming off of Roope Hintz. Vegas tied it on a William Karlsson goal, his sixth of the playoffs, courtesy of Zach Whitecloud and Nicolas Roy in the second period. The Golden Knights took the lead in the third period with another Karlsson goal, his second of the game and seventh of the postseason, assisted by Alec Martinez and Alex Pietrangelo. The Stars retied it on a Roope Hintz goal, his tenth of the playoffs, passed from Joe Pavelski and Robertson. Vegas regained the lead with a Teddy Blueger goal, helped along by Keegan Kolesar and Whitecloud. Dallas tied it again with a Jamie Benn goal, his third of the postseason, fueled by Pavelski and Hintz. The Golden Knights won 4-3 in overtime with a Brett Howden goal, his third of the playoffs, guided in by Mark Stone and Chandler Stephenson. The three stars were Karlsson, Whitecloud, and Hintz, while Robertson and Pavelski get the honorable mentions. The Golden Knights own a 1-0 series lead.

2023 Eastern Conference Finals - Game 1

The NHL is into the Conference Finals now. The East goes first, with the Carolina Hurricanes hosting the Florida Panthers. Sergei Bobrovsky and Frederik Andersen are the goalies. Carolina began in the first period with a Seth Jarvis power play goal, his fifth of the postseason, powered by Sebastian Aho and Brent Burns. Florida tied it in the second period with an Aleksander Barkov goal, his third of the playoffs, via Anthony Duclair and Carter Verhaeghe. The Panthers took the lead with a Verhaeghe goal, his sixth of the postseason, coming off of Duclair and Barkov. The Hurricanes tied it in the third period with a power play goal by Stefan Noesen, his fourth of the playoffs, with assists provided by Jarvis and Martin Necas. Florida won in quadruple overtime with a Matthew Tkachuk goal, his sixth of the postseason, going in unassisted. The three stars were Verhaeghe, Barkov, and Tkachuk, while Duclair gets an honorable mention. The Panthers have a 1-0 lead in the series.

NHL Playoffs 2023 - Second Round Day 14

The last game of the second round sees the Dallas Stars host the Seattle Kraken. Philipp Grubauer and Jake Oettinger protect the nets. Dallas got going in the second period with a Roope Hintz goal, his ninth of the postseason, going in unassisted. The Stars added on in the third period with a Wyatt Johnston goal, his fourth of the playoffs, via Evgenii Dadonov and Thomas Harley. Seattle got on the board with an Oliver Bjorkstrand goal, his fourth of the postseason, made possible by Yanni Gourde. The final held from there at 2-1, with the three stars being Johnston, Hintz, and Oettinger (22 for 23 in saves). The Stars won the series 4-3 and will face the Vegas Golden Knights in the Western Conference Finals.

NHL Playoffs 2023 - Second Round Day 13

Just a single game on for Sunday night, as the Edmonton Oilers host the Vegas Golden Knights. Adin Hill and Stuart Skinner protect the nets. Vegas led off in the first period with a Reilly Smith goal, his second of the postseason, going in unassisted. Edmonton tied it on a Connor McDavid goal, his eighth of the playoffs, guided in by Brett Kulak and Evander Kane. The Oilers took the lead with a Warren Foegele goal, his second of the postseason, made possible by Derek Ryan and Ryan McLeod. The Golden Knights tied it on a Jonathan Marchessault goal, his third of the playoffs, fueled by Ivan Barbashev and Shea Theodore in the second period. Vegas pulled ahead with a Marchessault goal, his second of the game and fourth of the postseason, assisted by Alec Martinez and Barbashev. The Golden Knights added on as Marchessault completed his hat trick on his fifth of the playoffs, thanks to Alex Pietrangelo and Jack Eichel. Jack Campbell replaced Skinner in goal. Vegas iced it at 5-2 with a William Karlsson empty net goal in the third period, his fifth of the postseason, set up by Nicolas Roy. The three stars were Marchessault, Barbashev and Hill (39 for 41 in saves). The Golden Knights won the series 4-2 and will play in the Western Conference Finals.
