Jacksonville, as the Jaguars host the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati started with a first quarter Mike Nugent field goal of 35 yards. Jacksonville took the lead in the second quarter with a Blaine Gabbert touchdown pass of 2 yards to Marcedes Lewis, and Josh Scobee was there with the extra point. The Bengals regained the lead as Andy Dalton threw a 1 yard touchdown to Chris Pressley, and Nugent kicked in the extra point. Cincinnati padded the lead as Dalton ran 1 yard for a touchdown, and Nugent made another PAT. The Jaguars replied in the third quarter as Scobee made a 21 yard field goal. The Bengals extended the lead some more with Dalton throwing a fourth quarter touchdown of 18 yards to A.J. Green, and Nugent iced the drive with the extra point. Nugent added on to Cincinnati's lead with a 35 yard field goal. This ended the scoring at 27-10, with the Bengals going to 3-1 and the Jaguars dropping to 1-3.
Well to the west, the Denver Broncos host the Oakland Raiders. Denver opened in the first quarter as Peyton Manning threw a 22 yard touchdown pass to Joel Dreessen, and Matt Prater kicked in the extra point. Oakland responded as Sebastian Janikowski kicked a 38 yard field goal. The Broncos added on as Prater nailed a 21 yard field goal. The Raiders shot back in the second quarter with Janikowski making a 24 yard field goal. Denver extended the lead in the third quarter as Manning passed 17 yards to Eric Decker for a touchdown, and Prater made the PAT. The Broncos kept going as Willis McGehee rushed 2 yards for a touchdown, and Prater handled another extra point. Denver padded the lead with Manning finding Lance Ball for a 14 yard touchdown connection, and Prater stayed true with the extra point. The Broncos kept going in the fourth quarter as Prater made a 43 yard field goal. Denver got some more as Prater made another field goal, this time from from 53 yards away. This made the final 37-6, with the Broncos moving up to 2-2 while Oakland fell to 1-3.
South to Arizona, where the Cardinals welcome the Miami Dolphins. Miami was first to score in the second quarter with a 32 yard Dan Carpenter field goal. The Dolphins padded the lead as Jorvorskie Lane ran 1 yard for a touchdown, and Carpenter booted the extra point. Miami struck again with a 27 yard field goal by Carpenter. Arizona got on the board in the third quarter with a Kevin Kolb touchdown pass of 3 yards to Larry Fitzgerald, and Jay Feely made the extra point. The Cardinals took the lead in the fourth quarter as Kolb threw a 46 yard touchdown pass to Feely. The Dolphins tied the game as Ryan Tannehill tossed an 80 yard touchdown to Brian Hartline, and then threw the two-point attempt successfully to Lane. Arizona pulled even as Kolb found Roberts again for a 15 yard touchdown, and Feely again made a PAT. The Cardinals won 24-21 in overtime as Feely made a 46 yard field goal. Arizona is now 4-0 and the Dolphins fell to 1-3.
Back east, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Washington Redskins. Tampa Bay led off in the first quarter as Connor Barth made a 50 yard field goal. Washington took the lead as Robert Griffin ran 8 yards but fumbled, with Pierre Garcon jumping on the ball in the end zone to secure the touchdown, and Billy Cundiff knocked in the extra point. The Redskins extended the lead as Griffin ran 5 yards for a touchdown, and Cundiff booted in the extra point. Washington scored some more as Alfred Morris ran 39 yards for a touchdown, and Cundiff again made the extra point. The Buccaneers answered as Barth made a 57 yard field goal. Tampa Bay chipped away in the third quarter when Josh Freeman threw a touchdown pass of 7 yards to Vincent Jackson, and Barth handled the extra point. The Buccaneers got closer in the fourth quarter as LeGarrette Blount ran 2 yards for a touchdown, but they failed on the two-point attempt. Tampa Bay later took the lead on a 47 yard field goal by Barth. The Redskins replied as Cundiff finally made a field goal, from 41 yards away to seal a 24-22 victory. Washington moved up to 2-2 and Tampa Bay dropped to 1-3.
At the other Bay, the Green Bay Packers bring in the New Orleans Saints. Green Bay got going in first quarter as Aaron Rodgers tossed a 12 yard touchdown pass to James Jones, and Mason Crosby supplied the extra point. New Orleans tied it as Drew Brees tossed a touchdown of 20 yards to Marques Colston, and Garrett Hartley handled the extra point. The Packers took the lead again in the second quarter when Rodgers passed 9 yards to Greg Jennings for a touchdown, and Crosby kicked in the extra point. Green Bay got some more as Rodgers and Jones hooked up again for a 14 yard touchdown play, and Crosby again made the PAT. The Saints replied as Brees passed 6 yards to Darren Sproles for a touchdown, and Hartley was true with the extra point. New Orleans pulled closer in the third quarter on a Hartley field goal of 20 yards. The Saints took the lead as Brees connected with Joseph Morgan for an 80 yard touchdown, and Hartley was there to make the extra point. New Orleans extended the lead on a Hartley field goal of 27 yards in the fourth quarter. The Packers retook the lead as Rodgers tossed an 11 yard touchdown pass to Jordy Nelson, and Crosby was good on the extra point. This held up for a 28-27 final, with Green Bay going to 2-2 and New Orleans falling to 0-4.
For the prime time game, the Philadelphia Eagles host the New York Giants. Philadelphia began in the second quarter with Michael Vick tossing a 19 yard touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson, and Alex Henery was there with the extra point. New York got on the board as Lawrence Tynes kicked a 25 yard field goal. The Eagles shot back in the third quarter as Henery made a field goal of 20 yards. The Giants tied it as Eli Manning threw 14 yards for a touchdown to Victor Cruz, and Tynes kicked the extra point. Philadelphia took the lead back on a Henery field goal of 48 yards. The Eagles added on in the fourth quarter as Henery booted a 35 yard field goal. New York took the lead when Manning found Bear Pascoe for a 4 yard touchdown connection, and Tynes' extra point put them ahead. Philadelphia took the lead back as Henery made a 26 yard field goal. This held for a win, moving them to 3-1 while the Giants dropped to 2-2.
