Our Thursday night game is in Minnesota, as the Vikings host the Washington Redskins. Washington led off in the first quarter on a Kai Forbath field goal of 20 yards. Minnesota took the lead when Adrian Peterson rushed 18 yards for a touchdown, and Blair Walsh made the extra point. The Redskins gained the lead with a Robert Griffin III touchdown pass of 8 yards to Pierre Garcon, and Forbath knocked in the extra point. The Vikings retook the lead as Christian Ponder tossed a 2 yard touchdown to Cordarrelle Patterson in the second quarter, and Walsh supplied the extra point. Washington edged ahead again with an 11 yard Griffin touchdown pass to Jordan Reed, and Forbath drilled the extra point. The Redskins added on as Griffin found Logan Paulsen for 1 yard and a touchdown, and Forbath handled another PAT. Washington extended the lead in the third quarter as Forbath made a 40 yard field goal. Minnesota pulled back as Ponder found John Carlson for 28 yards and a touchdown, and Walsh booted the extra point. The Vikings took the lead as Peterson ran 1 yard for a touchdown, and Walsh made another extra point. Minnesota padded the lead as Walsh nailed a 39 yard field goal. The Vikings wrapped it up at 34-27 as Walsh made a 40 yard field goal. The Vikings are now 2-7 while the Redskins are 3-6.
