The Panthers extended their lead on a Gano 24 yard field goal. San Francisco retook the lead when Colin Kaepernick threw a 1 yard touchdown pass to Vernon Davis, and Dawson nailed the PAT. The 49ers padded the lead in the third quarter on a Kaepernick 4 yard touchdown rush, and Dawson was true with the extra point. San Francisco made it 23-10 in the fourth quarter on a 34 yard field goal by Dawson. This was the final, with the 49ers preparing to travel to Seattle to play the Seahawks in the NFC Championship, while the Panthers' strong season has concluded.
