NHL November 17th, 2014

One game today, with the New York Rangers hosting the Tampa Bay Lightning. Ben Bishop and Henrik Lundqvist guard the cages. Tampa Bay opened in the first period with a Nikita Kucherov goal, his seventh of the season, via Tyler Johnson and Ondrej Palat. The Lightning added on as Ryan Callahan scored his seventh of the year, a power play goal made possible by Steven Stamkos and Valtteri Filppula. New York got on the board in the second period on a Martin St. Louis power play goal, his seventh of the season, powered by Derick Brassard and Derek Stepan. Tampa Bay shot back on a Stamkos goal, his twelfth of the year, guided in by Filppula. The Lightning extended the lead on an Alex Killorn goal, his third of the season, assisted by Johnson and Palat. Tampa Bay padded the lead in the third period on Callahan's second of the game and eighth of the year, with a lone assist by Stamkos. This made it 5-1, the final, with the three stars going to Callahan, Stamkos, and Filppula, while Johnson and Palat get the honorable mentions.
