Alexei Murygin replaced Koshechkin in goal. Astana extended the lead with a Talgat Zhailauov goal, passed from Roman Savchenko and Nikolai Antropov. Barys padded the lead on a Bochenski goal, with a lone assist by Dawes. Magnitogorsk got on the board with a Sergei Mozyakin goal, helped along by Chris Lee. Avtomobilist added on with a Sergei Gusev power play goal in the third period, powered by Filipp Metlyuk. Yekaterinburg iced it at 3-0 with a Lazarev empty net goal, set up by Alexander Rybakov and Sami Lepisto. The three stars went to Lazarev, Kovar (35 save shutout), and Gusev.
West to Cherepovets, Severstal brings in the Sochi Leopards. Tomas Popperle and Jakub Stepanek are the goalies. Cherepovets dented the scoreboard in the second period on a Yury Trubachyov goal, thanks to Zakhar Arzamastsev and Marek Kvapil.
