Buffalo tied it as Mikhail Grigorenko scored his third of the year, thanks to Brian Gionta and Marcus Foligno. The Blue Jackets retook the lead on a Matt Calvert goal, his thirteenth of the season, passed from Savard and Jack Johnson. The Sabres tied it again in the second period on a Gionta power play goal, his thirteenth of the year, powered by Tyler Ennis and Zach Bogosian.
