The scoreless tie lasted to a shootout, where Anze Kopitar and Adrian Kempe lifted the Kings 1-0 over William Nylander and the Maple Leafs. The three stars were Quick (36 save shutout), Andersen (30 save "shutout"), and Kempe.
Finally, the San Jose Sharks host the Minnesota Wild. Alex Stalock and Martin Jones are the former teammates in goal. Minnesota drew first blood in the first period with a Ryan Suter goal, his eighth of the season, coming off of Ryan Hartman and Mikko Koivu. San Jose tied it on a Stefan Noesen power play goal, his seventh of the year, powered by Noah Gregor and Tim Heed. The Wild retook the lead in the second period with an Alex Galchenyuk goal, his seventh of the season, courtesy of Zach Parise and Suter. Minnesota added on with a Parise goal, his twenty-fifth of the year, passed from Luke Kunin and Kevin Fiala. The Sharks got one back in the third period with a Joe Thornton goal, his sixth of the season, helped along by Marcus Sorensen and Timo Meier. This stood for a 3-2 Wild win, with the three stars handed to Parise, Suter, and Galchenyuk.
