The New Jersey Devils hosting the Ottawa Senators. Anton Forsberg and MacKenzie Blackwood are the goalies. New Jersey led off in the first period with a Damon Severson goal, his third of the season, guided in by Jonas Siegenthaler and Jesper Bratt. Ottawa tied it on a Drake Batherson goal, his eighth of the year, via Thomas Chabot and Brady Tkachuk in the second period. The Devils retook the lead with a Nathan Bastian goal, his third of the season, assisted by P.K. Subban and Ty Smith. The Senators retied it on a Tkachuk goal, his eighth of the year, fueled by Batherson and Nick Holden. The tie lasted to a shootout, where Tim Stutzle and Josh Norris lifted the Senators 3-2 over Tomas Tatar and the Devils. The three stars were Tkachuk, Batherson, and Severson.
In Philadelphia, the Flyers welcome the Colorado Avalanche. Justus Annunen and Martin Jones are the backups in goal. Philadelphia began in the first period with a Claude Giroux goal, his eighth of the season, assisted by Morgan Frost and Rasmus Ristolainen. Colorado tied it on a shorthanded Erik Johnson goal, his third of the year, set up by Logan O'Connor. The Avalanche took the lead with a Gabriel Landeskog goal, his ninth of the season, via Nathan MacKinnon and Devon Toews. Colorado added on with an Alex Newhook power play goal, his fifth of the year, powered by Samuel Girard and Toews. The Avalanche extended the lead as Cale Makar scored his eleventh of the season on the power play, thanks to Annunen and Mikko Rantanen. The Flyers got one back with an Oskar Lindblom goal, helped along by Travis Konecny and Travis Sanheim. Philadelphia got closer with a Giroux power play goal, his second of the game and ninth of the year, with assists provided by Konecny and Keith Yandle. Colorado answered in the second period with a Valeri Nichushkin goal, his seventh of the season, coming off of Johnson and Girard. The Flyers countered in the third period with a Cam Atkinson goal, his ninth of the year, fueled by Kevin Hayes and Sanheim. The Avalanche replied on a Nazem Kadri power play goal, his tenth of the season, with a lone assist by Rantanen. Colorado continued on a Tyson Jost goal, his fourth of the year, passed from Jayson Megna. Philadelphia pulled back with a Scott Laughton shorthanded goal, his fifth of the campaign, with a lone helper from Hayes. This only made it 7-5, the final, with the three stars going to Johnson, Toews, and Rantanen, while Giroux, Konecny, Hayes, and Sanheim get the honorable mentions.
Over in DC, the Washington Capitals bring in the Anaheim Ducks. John Gibson and Ilya Samsonov protect the nets. Washington opened in the first period with a Tom Wilson goal, his ninth of the season, fueled by Justin Schultz and Alex Ovechkin. Anaheim tied it in the second period with a Josh Manson goal, his third of the year, guided in by Sonny Milano and Trevor Zegras. The Capitals retook the lead on a Carl Hagelin goal, via Lars Eller and T.J. Oshie. The Ducks tied it again with a Milano goal, his seventh of the season, assisted by Zegras and Rickard Rakell. Anaheim pulled ahead with a Vinni Lettieri goal, his third of the year, passed from Cam Fowler and Troy Terry. Washington retied it on a John Carlson goal, his sixth of the campaign, coming off of Ovechkin. The tie lasted to a shootout, where Daniel Sprong, Ovechkin, and Carlson lifted the Capitals 4-3 over Terry, Rakell and the Ducks. The three stars belonged to Ovechkin, Milano, and Zegras.
Down in Dallas, the Stars host the Arizona Coyotes. Scott Wedgewood and Braden Holtby are between the pipes. Dallas started in the first period with a Roope Hintz goal, his eleventh of the season, via Jason Robertson. Arizona tied it in the second period with a Shayne Gostisbehere goal, his fourth of the year, guided in by Clayton Keller and Phil Kessel. The Stars took the lead in the third period with a Jacob Peterson goal, his fourth of the season, helped along by Alexander Radulov and Jamie Benn. Dallas added on with a Benn power play goal, his sixth of the year, powered by Denis Gurianov and Ryan Suter. The Stars finished it at 4-1 with a Benn goal, his second of the game and seventh of the campaign, with a lone assist by Radulov. The three stars were Benn, Radulov, and Holtby (18 for 19 in saves).
Northwest to Seattle, as the Kraken welcome the Pittsburgh Penguins. Casey DeSmith and Philipp Grubauer get the starting nods in goal. Pittsburgh struck first in the first period with a Jeff Carter goal, his sixth of the season, helped along by Danton Heinen and Jason Zucker. The Penguins added on with a Sidney Crosby goal, his fourth of the year, via Jake Guentzel and Brian Dumoulin. Pittsburgh extended the lead as Heinen scored his seventh of the season, thanks to John Marino and Marcus Pettersson. Joey Daccord replaced Grubauer in goal. Seattle got on the board with a Jordan Eberle goal in the second period, his twelfth of the year, assisted by Alex Wennberg and Jaden Schwartz. The Penguins replied with a Guentzel goal, his fourteenth of the season, with helpers from Evan Rodrigues and Crosby. Pittsburgh padded the lead with a Carter goal, his second of the game and seventh of the year, coming off of Kris Letang and Heinen. The Penguins finished it at 6-1 with another Guentzel goal, his second of the game and fifteenth of the campaign, made possible by Rodrigues and Dumoulin. The three stars were Guentzel, Heinen, and Carter, while Crosby, Rodrigues, and Dumoulin get the honorable mentions.
Finally, the Vancouver Canucks bring in the Los Angeles Kings. Calvin Petersen and Thatcher Demko guard the cages. Vancouver got going in the second period with a Brock Boeser power play goal, his fifth of the season, powered by Tanner Pearson and J.T. Miller. The Canucks added on with a Conor Garland goal, his eighth of the year, via Vasily Podkolzin and Elias Pettersson. Vancouver extended the lead in the third period as Juho Lammikko scored an unassisted goal. The Canucks padded the lead on a Miller power play goal, his ninth of the campaign, with assists provided by Boeser and Bo Horvat. This stood for a 4-0 win, with the three stars going to Demko (31 save shutout), Boeser, and Miller.
