Florida began in the first period with a Carter Verhaeghe goal, his tenth of the postseason, via Aleksander Barkov and Sam Reinhart. The Panthers added on in the second period with an Evan Rodrigues goal, his fourth of the playoffs, passed from Sam Bennett and Brandon Montour. Florida iced it at 3-0 in the third period with an Eetu Luostarinen empty net goal, his second of the postseason, set up by Barkov. The three stars were Bobrovsky (32 save shutout), Verhaeghe, and Barkov. The Panthers established a 1-0 series lead.
