The attempt to save the play with a two point conversion also failed. Morton-White Pass took the lead when Rylan Kolb threw a 41 yard touchdown to Brian Reynolds, and Richard Park made the extra point. The Tigers took the lead back in the second quarter with Lorton tossing a 68 yard touchdown to Rogelio Sevilla, and they converted the two-point attempt this time with Lorton passing to Layne Hellem. Reynolds got the Timberwolves back on track with a 15 yard rush for a touchdown, and Park made the PAT. Reynolds tied it for Morton-White Pass with a 1 yard run for a touchdown later in the quarter, and Park again handled the extra point to produce the tie. With victory near, Park missed a field goal of 29 yards at the end of regulation. The tie went into a Kansas Tiebreaker, and it was here that Reynolds once again proved his worth, leading the Timberwolves to a 27-21 victory after a 1 yard touchdown rush. Needless to say, Brian Reynolds earned the MVP award this game.
