Traktor added on with a Dmitry Pestunov goal in the second period, passed from Andrei Popov and Anton Glinkin. Chelyabinsk extended the lead with a power play goal by Glinkin, powered by Popov and Pestunov. Traktor padded the lead on a Pestunov goal, his second of the game, via Popov, who got a sock trick. Riku Helenius replaced Karlsson in goal. Helsinki got on the board with a Peter Regin goal, assisted by Brandon Kozun.
