The Lightning tied it on a Brandon Hagel goal, his twelfth of the year, assisted by Nick Perbix and Emil Martinsen Lilleberg. Tampa Bay won 3-2 in overtime with a Perbix goal, made possible by Hagel. Back north, the Toronto Maple Leafs bring in the San Jose Sharks. Kaapo Kahkonen and Martin Jones man the nets. Toronto started in the first period with a Morgan Rielly goal, his fifth of the season, via William Nylander and T.J. Brodie. The Maple Leafs added on with an Auston Matthews power play goal, his thirty-first of the year, powered by Mitchell Marner and Nylander. Toronto extended the lead in the second period as Marner scored his sixteenth of the season, thanks to Jake McCabe and Timothy Liljegren. The Canucks answered with a Tyler Myers goal, his third of the season, helped along by Teddy Blueger and Garland.
