Medvescak added on in the second period as Luke Walker scored, with the help of Patrick Bjorkstrand. Astana got on the board with an Evgeny Blokhin goal, made possible by Roman Starchenko. Zagreb replied in the third period on a goal by Ryan Vesce, assisted by Matt Murley and Mathieu Carle on the power play. Barys got one back as Vladimir Grebenshchikov scored, with a lone helper by Nigel Dawes. They failed to get an equalizer, falling 3-2, with the three stars being Foster, Vesce, and Walker.
