Vancouver's Felipe had a yellow card for time wasting in stoppage time. The Whitecaps won 2-1, and Venuto was named man of the match.
Back east, the New England Revolution bring in DC United. Bill Hamid and Matt Turner play in goal. Cristian Penilla of New England had a yellow card for not retreating in the 45th minute. Andrew Farrell of the Revolution received a yellow card for persistent infringement in the 53rd minute. In the 56th minute, New England's keeper Turner took a red card for denying a goal scoring opportunity, forcing Brad Knighton to enter the game in place of Tajon Buchanan. The Revolution got going in the 61st minute with a Juan Agudelo goal, set up by Penilla. Teal Bunbury of New England had a yellow card for time wasting in the 65th minute. DC tied it on a Wayne Rooney penalty kick goal in the 90th minute. The final stayed at 1-1, with Agudelo picked as man of the match.
Backtracking to Ohio, as FC Cincinnati hosts the New York Red Bulls. Luis Robles and Spencer Richey are in the penalty areas. New York's Michael Murillo had a yellow card for a 39th minute foul. Kendall Waston of Cincinnati picked up a yellow card for a 58th minute foul. The Red Bulls dented the scoreboard in the 78th minute on an Alejandro Romero Gamarra goal. New York added on in stoppage time with an Omir Fernandez goal, assisted by Brian White and Murillo. This stood for a 2-0 win, with the man of the match honors going to Romero Gamarra.
Next up, the Philadelphia Union welcome the Portland Timbers. Steve Clark and Andre Blake are between the sticks. Portland's Clark took a yellow card for time wasting in the 22nd minute. The Timbers started in the 31st minute on a Brian Fernandez goal, helped along by Andy Polo. Portland added on in the 36th minute with another Fernandez goal, via Diego Chara and Diego Valeri. Philadelphia got on the board in the 47th minute with a Kacper Przybylko goal, passed from Fabrice-Jean Picault and Kai Wagner. Jack Elliott of the Union took a yellow card for his 85th minute foul. The Timbers answered with an 87th minute Valeri goal, coming off of Sebastian Blanco. Portland's Chara received a yellow card for a foul in stoppage time. This made it 3-1, the final, with Fernandez's brace making him man of the match.
Westward again as Minnesota United FC brings in the Houston Dynamo. Joe Willis and Vito Mannone are set to start in goal. Minnesota opened in the 20th minute with a Romain Metanire goal, via Jan Gregus. Houston saw a yellow card for a foul by Alejandro Fuenmayor in the 40th minute. The Dynamo's Boniek Garcia took a yellow card for a 66th minute foul. In the 90th minute, the Loons' Metanire received a yellow card for a foul. The final held at 1-0, with Metanire as the man of the match.
Saturday's seven end in Colorado, as the Rapids host the Columbus Crew SC. Zack Steffen and Tim Howard are the American keepers. Colorado was first to score in the 23rd minute with a Tommy Smith goal, coming off of Jack Price. Columbus tied it in the 28th minute on a Pedro Santos goal, courtesy of Hector Jimenez and Wil Trapp. The Rapids retook the lead in first half stoppage time with a Jonathan Lewis goal, guided in by Sam Nicholson. Gaston Sauro of the Crew had a yellow card for a 50th minute foul. In the 54th minute, Columbus tied it with a Gyasi Zardes goal, set up by Federico Higuain. Price of Colorado had a yellow card in the 56th minute. Niko Hansen of the Crew received a yellow card for an 85th minute foul. The Rapids regained the lead on a Nicolas Mezquida goal in the 89th minute, and he later received a yellow card for delaying the game. This stood for a 3-2 win, with Smith named man of the match.
On Sunday, Sporting Kansas City welcomes Seattle Sounders FC. Stefan Frei and Tim Melia tend the twines. Seattle's Roman Torres took a yellow card for a 13th minute foul. Kansas City's Benny Feilhaber took a yellow card for a 26th minute foul. Sporting struck first in the 29th minute with a Johnny Russell goal, via Yohan Croizet and Nicolas Hasler. Kansas City's Croizet had a yellow card in the 34th minute for a foul. Sporting added on in first half stoppage time with a Russell goal, courtesy of Ilie Sanchez. The Sounders' Nicolas Lodeiro had a yellow card for persistent infringement in the 60th minute. Seattle got on the board in the 63rd minute with a Raul Ruidiaz goal, assisted by Kelvin Leerdam and Harry Shipp. Kansas City replied in the 68th minute with a Russell goal, completing his hat trick with the help of Kelyn Rowe and Croizet. The Sounders pulled one back with a Leerdam goal in the 71st minute, fueled by Lodeiro. The final stayed at 3-2, with Russell named man of the match.
Finally, Toronto FC brings in the San Jose Earthquakes. Daniel Vega and Quentin Westberg are in the six-yard boxes. Toronto drew first blood in the 28th minute with a Richie Laryea goal, via Marco Delgado and Jozy Altidore. San Jose's Tommy Thompson took a yellow card for a 33rd minute foul. We've got only one game today, as the New York Red Bulls host the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Zac MacMath is mismatched with Luis Robles in goal. Sean Nealis of New York had a yellow card for an 8th minute foul. Vancouver struck first in the 29th minute on a Scott Sutter goal. The Red Bulls tied it on a 37th minute goal by Brian White, via Amro Tarek and Alejandro Romero Gamarra. New York took the lead with an own goal by the Whitecaps' Andy Rose in the 55th minute. Vancouver retied it again with a Fredy Montero penalty kick goal in the 61st minute. The Whitecaps saw yellow cards for a foul by Derek Cornelius in the 87th minute and MacMath's time wasting in stoppage time. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with White named man of the match.
