Westward to Edmonton, with the Oilers bringing in the Detroit Red Wings. Petr Mrazek and Cam Talbot are the inexperienced goalies. Edmonton struck first in the first period on a Mark Letestu power play goal, powered by Nail Yakupov and Justin Schultz. The Oilers added on with a Connor McDavid goal in the second period, his fourth of the season, coming off of Benoit Pouliot and Yakupov. Edmonton extended the lead as Teddy Purcell scored, with the help of Lauri Korpikoski and Mark Fayne. Detroit got on the board with a third period goal by Tomas Tatar, via Gustav Nyquist and Riley Sheahan. The final held at 3-1, with the three stars given to Talbot (28 for 29 in saves), Yakupov, and McDavid.
Finally, the Colorado Avalanche host the Carolina Hurricanes. Cam Ward and Semyon Varlamov are the shaky goalies. Carolina won 1-0 in overtime on a Victor Rask goal, his second of the season, with a lone assist by Ryan Murphy. The three stars belonged to Ward (26 save shutout), Rask, and Varlamov (18 for 19 in saves).

The Buffalo Sabres hosting the Toronto Maple Leafs. Jonathan Bernier and Chad Johnson are in goal. Toronto began with a P.A. Parenteau goal, assisted by Roman Polak and Michael Grabner in the first period. Buffalo tied it on an unassisted Evander Kane goal in the third period. The tie went to a shootout, where Parenteau got matched by Tyler Ennis and topped by Matt Moulson for a 2-1 Sabres win. The three stars went to Bernier (34 for 35 in saves), Parenteau, and Johnson (23 for 24 in saves).
Down to Boston, where the Bruins welcome the Philadelphia Flyers. Michal Neuvirth and Tuukka Rask play in the blue paint. Sporting Kansas City VS. Colorado Rapids 10/21/15
Tonight's single make-up game from earlier in the season has Sporting Kansas City hosting the Colorado Rapids. Zac MacMath and Tim Melia are the mediocre goalies. Colorado's Sam Cronin took a yellow card for his forty-second minute foul. The Rapids led off with a seventy-eighth minute goal by Dillon Powers, set up by Juan Ramirez and Kevin Doyle. Colorado's Ramirez took a yellow card for his eightieth minute simulation. In the eighty-fourth minute, Cronin had another yellow card for the Rapids for a foul, putting them at ten men, followed by a yellow card to the goalie MacMath for dissent. In the eighty-sixth minute, Colorado added on through a Marcelo Sarvas goal, passed from Ramirez. Kansas City saw a yellow card given to Kevin Ellis for an eighty-ninth minute foul. The final stood at 2-0 for the Rapids, with Ramirez being the man of the match.
