Song of the Week XI

This week we have a tune coming from Snow Patrol called Starfighter Pilot. This track is their biggest power hit from their early years. The song is the second track on their debut album Songs For Polarbears. The album is noticeably young in sound, as they were finding their place in the music world. Most of the CD is a harder-hitting variety, with strong guitars backed by gentle drums. This is toned down on future albums from them, but the song remains their initial hit, although is highly under-appreciated. This feature will return next week.
