Ufa extended the lead in the second period with an Igor Mirnov goal, via Antti Pihlstrom and Alexei Kaigorodov. Astana got on the board as Dmitry Upper scored, thanks to Konstantin Pushkaryov and Konstantin Romanov. Barys pulled closer with a Brandon Bochenski goal, coming off of Nigel Dawes and Dustin Boyd.
