Vityaz Podolsk hosting Lokomotiv Yaroslavl. Alexei Murygin and Harri Sateri are the goalies. Yaroslavl opened in the first period with a Maxime Talbot power play goal, powered by Petri Kontiola and Brandon Kozun. Podolsk tied it in the second period on a Miro Aaltonen goal, via Jakub Jerabek on the power play. Vityaz took the lead with an Alexei Kopeikin goal, assisted by Jerabek and Mario Kempe in the third period. The final held at 2-1, with the three stars going to Kopeikin, Sateri (43 for 44 in saves), and Jerabek.
The other game has Ak Bars Kazan hosting Lada Togliatti. Ilya Ezhov and Stanislav Galimov draw the starts in goal. Togliatti got going in the second period with a Vasily Streltsov goal, assisted by Kristaps Sotnieks and Alexander Streltsov. Kazan tied it with a Mikhail Varnakov goal, made possible by Dmitry Obukhov. Ak Bars added on with a Mikhail Glukhov goal, helped along by Anton Glinkin. Kazan added on with a Vasily Tokranov goal, passed from Alexander Svitov and Jiri Sekac. Ak Bars extended the lead in the third period as Obukhov scored, thanks to Atte Ohtamaa and Varnakov. Lada got one back with a Viktor Komarov goal, coming off of Anton Krysanov and Taylor Aronson. Togliatti pulled closer on a Denis Zernov goal, guided in by Sotnieks and Anton Shenfeld. Kazan iced it at 5-3 with an unassisted Glinkin empty net goal. The three stars were Obukhov, Varnakov, and Sotnieks, while Glinkin gets an honorable mention.
