NWSL 2019 - Week 10

We're back for another four-game week, beginning on Friday with...

The Portland Thorns FC hosting the Utah Royals FC. Nicole Barnhart faces a lesser foe in Britt Eckerstrom in goal. Portland's Celeste Boureille took a yellow card for a 29th minute foul. Utah saw a 56th minute yellow card for Lo'eau Labonta's foul. The final remained as it started at 0-0, with Eckerstrom's four save clean sheet making her the woman of the match.

On Saturday, the Washington Spirit welcome the Houston Dash. Jane Campbell and Aubrey Bledsoe protect the nets. Houston saw a yellow card for a foul by Christine Nairn in the 44th minute. The Dash's Ariana Calderon had a yellow card in the 73rd minute for a foul. The final stayed at 0-0, with Ashley Hatch as the woman of the match for the Spirit.

Also, Sky Blue FC brings in the Orlando Pride. Haley Kopmeyer and DiDi Haracic are the backups in goal. Orlando led off in the 32nd minute with a Chioma Ubogagu penalty kick goal. Sky Blue tied it in the 67th minute with a Sarah Killion penalty kick goal. The Pride retook the lead in the 81st minute as Sky Blue's Gina Lewandowski committed an own goal. Caprice Dydasco of Sky Blue picked up a yellow card for a foul in stoppage time. The final was 2-1 Orlando, with the woman of the match being Kopmeyer, who went four for five in saves.

Finally, the Chicago Red Stars host Reign FC. Casey Murphy and Emily Boyd draw the starts in goal. Chicago's Nikki Stanton had a yellow card for a foul in the 29th minute. Reign got going in the 81st minute with a Jess Fishlock goal, set up by Ifeoma Onumonu. Reign's Lauren Barnes took a yellow card for time wasting in stoppage time. The game finished 1-0, with Fishlock again the woman of the match.
