NWSL 2019 - Week 15

Only three weekend games grace the schedule this time, beginning with...

The Utah Royals FC hosting the North Carolina Courage on Saturday. Stephanie Labbe and Nicole Barnhart tend the twines. Utah led off in the 13th minute with a Christen Press goal, via Veronica Boquete. North Carolina tied it in the 35th minute on a Kristen Hamilton goal, passed from Samantha Mewis. The Courage took the lead with a Jessica McDonald goal in the 54th minute, coming off of Hamilton. This stood for a 2-1 win, with Hamilton given woman of the match honors.

On Sunday, Reign FC welcomes the Chicago Red Stars. Alyssa Naeher and Casey Murphy protect the nets. Chicago began in the 4th minute with an Arin Wright goal on a rebound. The Red Stars added on in the 14th minute with a Vanessa DiBernardo goal, via Sam Kerr. In the 34th minute, Lauren Barnes of Reign took a yellow card for a foul. Chicago extended the lead in the 51st minute as Yuki Nagasato scored, thanks to Casey Short. Julie Ertz of the Red Stars earned a yellow card for a 59th minute foul. Chicago padded the lead in the 81st minute with a Kerr goal, made possible by Katie Johnson. The final was 4-0, with the woman of the match being Nagasato.

Finally, the Houston Dash bring in Sky Blue FC. Kailen Sheridan and Jane Campbell are the young keepers. Houston struck first in the 22nd minute with a Rachel Daly goal, set up by Ally Prisock. Imani Dorsey of Sky Blue received a yellow card in the 68th minute for a foul. The final remained at 1-0, with Daly as the woman of the match.
