The New York Rangers hosting the Florida Panthers. Sergei Bobrovsky and Igor Shesterkin tend the twines. New York led off in the first period with a Will Cuylle power play goal, his eleventh of the season, powered by Jacob Trouba and K'Andre Miller. Florida tied it in the second period with a Sam Reinhart power play goal, his forty-third of the year, with assists provided by Aleksander Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe. The Panthers took the lead with another Reinhart goal, his second of the game and forty-fourth of the season, passed from Barkov and Gustav Forsling. The Rangers retied it on a Chris Kreider power play goal, his thirty-first of the year, helped along by Vincent Trocheck and Artemi Panarin. Florida pulled ahead in the third period with a Ryan Lomberg goal, his fifth of the season, coming off of Forsling. The Panthers iced it at 4-2 with an Anton Lundell empty net goal, his ninth of the year, set up by Oliver Ekman-Larsson. The three stars were Reinhart, Barkov and Forsling.
In Philadelphia, the Flyers welcome the St. Louis Blues. Jordan Binnington and Samuel Ersson are in the creases. Philadelphia began in the first period with a Scott Laughton goal, his tenth of the season, via Ryan Poehling and Garnet Hathaway. St. Louis tied it on a Kevin Hayes goal in the second period, his eleventh of the year, courtesy of Kasperi Kapanen. The tie lasted to a shootout, where the Blues won 2-1 with goals by Jake Neighbours and Pavel Buchnevich to surge past Morgan Frost and the Flyers. The three stars went to Binnington (40 for 41 in saves), Hayes, and Ersson (24 for 25 in saves).
Along to Toronto, as the Maple Leafs bring in the Boston Bruins. Jeremy Swayman and Joseph Woll are the masked men. Boston opened in the first period with a Morgan Geekie goal, his fourteenth of the season, fueled by David Pastrnak and Mason Lohrei. The Bruins added on with a Pavel Zacha power play goal, his thirteenth of the year, powered by Pastrnak and Jake DeBrusk. Boston extended the lead in the second period as DeBrusk scored his fourteenth of the season, thanks to Charlie Coyle and Brad Marchand. Toronto got on the board in the third period with a John Tavares goal, his nineteenth of the year, made possible by Morgan Rielly and Ilya Lyubushkin. The Bruins shot back with a Zacha goal, his second of the game and fourteenth of the season, guided in by Pastrnak and Danton Heinen. This made it 4-1, the final, with the three stars given to Zacha, Pastrnak, and DeBrusk.
Back stateside, the Columbus Blue Jackets host the Vegas Golden Knights. Adin Hill and Daniil Tarasov are in the blue paint. Columbus started in the first period with a Justin Danforth goal, his tenth of the season, assisted by Sean Kuraly and Zach Werenski. The Blue Jackets added on with an Alex Nylander goal, his second of the year, fueled by Alexandre Texier and Ivan Provorov. Vegas got on the board with a Mason Morelli goal, his third of the season, guided in by Byron Froese. The Golden Knights tied it on a William Karlsson goal, his twenty-second of the year, helped along by Chandler Stephenson and Nicolas Hague. Columbus retook the lead in the second period with an Erik Gudbranson goal, his fourth of the season, via Johnny Gaudreau and Boone Jenner. The Blue Jackets extended the lead as Nylander scored his second of the game and third of the year in the third period, thanks to Cole Sillinger. Vegas got one back on a Stephenson goal, his fourteenth of the season, with helpers from Shea Theodore and Michael Amadio. Columbus fired back on a Yegor Chinakhov goal, his sixteenth of the year, passed from Kirill Marchenko and Jake Bean. The Blue Jackets iced it at 6-3 with an empty net goal by Nylander, completing his hat trick on his fourth of the campaign, set up by Texier. The three stars were Nylander, Texier, and Stephenson.
Out west, the Colorado Avalanche welcome the Chicago Blackhawks. Petr Mrazek and Justus Annunen are set to start in goal. Colorado struck first in the first period with a Nathan MacKinnon goal, his thirty-eighth of the season, via Devon Toews and Cale Makar. The Avalanche added on with a Jonathan Drouin goal, his eleventh of the year, guided in by Ross Colton and Samuel Girard. Colorado extended the lead in the second period as Makar scored his fourteenth of the season, thanks to MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen. The Avalanche padded the lead on a Zach Parise goal, his fourth of the year, helped along by Caleb Jones and MacKinnon. Colorado iced it at 5-0 in the third period with a MacKinnon power play goal, his second of the game and thirty-ninth of the campaign, powered by Drouin and Artturi Lehkonen. The three stars were MacKinnon, Makar, and Annunen (37 save shutout), while Drouin gets an honorable mention.
Finally, the Calgary Flames bring in the Seattle Kraken. Philipp Grubauer and Jacob Markstrom guard the cages. Seattle kicked off the scoring in the first period with a Yanni Gourde goal, his eighth of the season, made possible by Brandon Tanev and Vince Dunn. Calgary tied it in the second period with an Andrei Kuzmenko power play goal, his twelfth of the year, powered by Nazem Kadri and Jonathan Huberdeau. The Kraken retook the lead with an Oliver Bjorkstrand goal, his sixteenth of the season, coming off of Jared McCann and Jaden Schwartz. Seattle added on with an Adam Larsson goal in the third period, his fourth of the year, with helpers from Matty Beniers and Jordan Eberle. The Flames got one back on a Kuzmenko goal, his second of the game and thirteenth of the season, assisted by Rasmus Andersson and Kadri. The Kraken shot back with a shorthanded McCann goal, his twenty-sixth of the year, going in unassisted. This held for a 4-2 win, with the three stars being McCann, Kuzmenko, and Kadri.
