Just two games on this Friday, beginning with...

The Dallas Stars hosting the Vegas Golden Knights. Malcolm Subban and Ben Bishop are in the creases. Dallas led off in the first period with a Taylor Fedun goal, his second of the season, passed from Alexander Radulov and Esa Lindell. Vegas tied it in the second period with a William Karlsson goal, his tenth of the year, assisted by Jonathan Marchessault and Shea Theodore. The Golden Knights took the lead on a Chandler Stephenson goal, his fifth of the season, via Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone. We're back up to twelve games today, beginning with...

The Florida Panthers hosting the New York Islanders. Thomas Greiss and Sergei Bobrovsky are the masked men. New York got going in the second period with a Devon Toews power play goal, his third of the season, powered by Jordan Eberle and Anders Lee. The Islanders added on with a Mathew Barzal power play goal, his thirteenth of the year, with assists provided by Eberle and Josh Bailey. Florida got on the board with a Mike Hoffman goal, his twelfth of the season, coming off of Mark Pysyk and Brett Connolly. New York iced it at 3-1 in the third period with an unassisted empty net goal by Lee, his ninth of the year. The three stars were Greiss (32 for 33 in saves), Eberle, and Lee.

Staying in the state, the Tampa Bay Lightning welcome the Boston Bruins. Tuukka Rask and Andrei Vasilevskiy tend the twines. Boston led off in the first period with a Patrice Bergeron goal, his tenth of the season, assisted by Brad Marchand and Charlie McAvoy. Tampa Bay tied it in the second period with a Steven Stamkos power play goal, his twelfth of the year, powered by Nikita Kucherov. The Predators took the lead back with a Colton Sissons goal, his seventh of the season, courtesy of Ryan Ellis. The Sabres tied it again in the second period on a Jack Eichel goal, his twenty-first of the year, guided in by Sam Reinhart and Colin Miller. Buffalo pulled ahead on another Eichel goal, his second of the game and twenty-second of the season, passed from Henri Jokiharju and Rasmus Dahlin. Nashville retied it on a Ryan Johansen goal, his sixth of the year, helped along by Filip Forsberg and Calle Jarnkrok. The Sabres regained the lead with a third period goal by Victor Olofsson, his thirteenth of the campaign, assisted by Brandon Montour and Reinhart. New York got going in the second period with a Ross Johnston goal, his second of the season, made possible by Ryan Pulock. The Islanders added on with a Josh Bailey shorthanded goal, his eighth of the year, set up by Casey Cizikas. Tampa Bay got on the board with a Steven Stamkos goal, his tenth of the season, assisted by Kevin Shattenkirk and Anthony Cirelli. New York shot back with an unassisted Brock Nelson goal, his tenth of the year. The Islanders extended the lead as Nelson scored his second of the game and eleventh of the season, thanks to Anders Lee and Jordan Eberle. New York capped it at 5-1 with a Lee power play goal, his eighth of the year, powered by Bailey and Mathew Barzal. The three stars were Nelson, Bailey, and Lee.

Up in DC, the Washington Capitals welcome the Columbus Blue Jackets. Joonas Korpisalo and Braden Holtby man the creases. The Philadelphia Flyers welcome the Ottawa Senators. Craig Anderson and Carter Hart are the goalies. Ottawa tied it on a Brady Tkachuk goal, his tenth of the year, courtesy of Jean-Gabriel Pageau and Connor Brown. The Flyers took the lead back with a Shayne Gostisbehere goal, his fourth of the season, coming off of Tyler Pitlick and James van Riemsdyk. The Senators tied it again on a shorthanded and unassisted Anthony Duclair goal in the second period, his twelfth of the year. Philadelphia regained the lead in the third period on an Ivan Provorov goal, his seventh of the season, fueled by Joel Farabee and Scott Laughton. Ottawa equalized as Duclair scored his second of the game and thirteenth of the year, thanks to Thomas Chabot and Dylan DeMelo. The Flyers pulled ahead again on a Laughton goal, his fourth of the campaign, guided in by Kevin Hayes and van Riemsdyk.
