Major League Soccer Week 23

The games are back for this weekend, with a total of nine games over the next three days, beginning with Friday's game in...

Portland, as the Timbers host the Chicago Fire. Sean Johnson and Adam Larsen Kwarasey man the nets. Chicago took a yellow card for a forty-fourth minute foul by Matt Polster. Portland was first to score with a forty-eighth minute goal by Fanendo Adi, passed from Diego Valeri. The Timbers had a yellow card for a Lucas Melano foul in the seventy-first minute. The final stood at 1-0 for the Timbers, with Adi being the man of the match.

The first of six Saturday games features Toronto FC welcoming Sporting Kansas City. Tim Melia and Joe Bendik are in the six-yard boxes. Kansas City began with a Benny Feilhaber penalty kick goal in the twenty-second minute. A minute later, Toronto tied it through a Michael Bradley goal, via Sebastian Giovinco. Sporting retook the lead in the twenty-ninth minute on a Krisztian Nemeth goal, passed from Feilhaber. Kansas City added on in the eighty-seventh minute on a Jacob Peterson goal, courtesy of Amobi Okugo. Toronto had a yellow card for a Collen Warner foul in the eighty-eighth minute. The final was 3-1, with Feilhaber named man of the match with his goal and assist.

Down in Florida, Orlando City SC brings in the Philadelphia Union. John McCarthy and Tally Hall protect the nets. Orlando City had a yellow card for Luke Boden in the sixty-sixth minute for a foul. The score remained 0-0 throughout the game, with Hall being the man of the match with his four-save clean sheet for Orlando City.

Back in Canada, the Montreal Impact host DC United. Bill Hamid and Evan Bush are the gloved men. DC started in the thirteenth minute on a Chris Rolfe goal, assisted by Jairo Arrieta. Montreal had yellow cards for unsporting behavior by Ignacio Piatti in the fortieth minute and dissent by Johan Venegas in the forty-fifth minute. In the sixty-fourth minute, United's Davy Arnaud took a yellow card for unsporting behavior. Marco Donadel of the Impact had a yellow card for his dissent in the seventy-fourth minute. In the seventy-eighth minute, DC had a yellow card given to Sean Franklin for time wasting. The final held at 1-0 for United, impressive since they were outshot 25-1, with Hamid as the man of the match for an eight-save clean sheet to deny all attempts.

Southwest to Colorado, where the Rapids welcome the Columbus Crew SC. Steve Clark and Clint Irwin guard the woodwork. Colorado saw yellow cards for fouls by Kevin Doyle in the seventh minute and Jared Watts in the thirtieth minute. The Rapids led off with a forty-second minute Bobby Burling goal, fueled by Vicente Sanchez. Colorado had another yellow card as Axel Sjoberg committed a foul in the fiftieth minute. Columbus got on the board in the fifty-second minute as Kei Kamara scored, thanks to Tony Tchani. The Rapids saw a yellow card given to Marc Burch in the sixty-first minute for a foul. The Crew took the lead as Kamara scored again in the sixty-fourth minute, with the help of Hector Jimenez. Columbus received the next two yellow cards, for fouls by Chris Klute in the sixty-seventh minute and Chad Barson in the seventy-third minute. In the ninetieth minute, Colorado went down to ten men as Sjoberg received a second yellow card for a foul and was ejected. The Crew's Federico Higuain had a yellow card for his stoppage time foul. The final was 2-1, with the man of the match being Kamara for his brace.

Backtracking to Houston, where the Dynamo bring in the San Jose Earthquakes. David Bingham and Joe Willis are between the posts. San Jose had the first three yellow cards, given to Victor Bernardez in the twenty-eighth minute, Marc Pelosi in the thirty-fourth minute, and Fatai Alashe in the forty-third minute, all for fouls. Houston dented the scoreboard in the fifty-fifth minute on a DaMarcus Beasley goal, assisted by Giles Barnes. In the sixtieth minute, Alashe of the Earthquakes was sent off on his second yellow card for a foul, putting his team at ten men. San Jose still tied the game in the seventieth minute despite the disadvantage, on a goal by Quincy Amarikwa passed from Shaun Francis. Raul Rodriguez of the Dynamo received a yellow card for a foul in the seventy-first minute. Houston retook the lead in the seventy-seventh minute as Alex scored, with the help of Sheanon Williams and Oscar Garcia. In the eighty-second minute, Sanna Nyassi of the Earthquakes received a yellow card for his foul. The 2-1 score became a final, with Alex being the man of the match for the game winner.

Ending Saturday, the Vancouver Whitecaps FC host Real Salt Lake. Jeff Attinella and David Ousted are the keepers. Vancouver struck first on a seventh minute penalty kick goal by Octavio Rivero. The Whitecaps added on with a fortieth minute goal by Pa Modou Kah, assisted by Kekuta Manneh. Salt Lake had a yellow card for a foul by Phanuel Kavita in the forty-fifth minute. Vancouver extended the lead with a Cristian Techera goal in the fiftieth minute, made possible by Jordan Harvey and Nicolas Mezquida. The Whitecaps saw a yellow card go to Kendall Waston in the sixtieth minute for his foul. Vancouver padded the lead as Techera scored again in the sixty-eighth minute, thanks to Harvey and Pedro Morales. Real took went down to ten men when Abdoulie Mansally took a straight red card for his eighty-eighth minute foul. The final held at 4-0, with the man of the match being Techera for his brace.

On Sunday, the first game sees the Los Angeles Galaxy welcome the Seattle Sounders FC. Stefan Frei and Donovan Ricketts are the veteran goalies. Seattle started on a first minute goal by Chad Barrett, assisted by Erik Friberg. Los Angeles tied it in the thirteenth minute on a Gyasi Zardes goal, via Juninho. The Sounders had a yellow card given to Friberg in the thirty-eighth minute. The Galaxy took the lead on a forty-seventh minute goal by Robbie Keane, coming off of Giovani dos Santos and A.J. DeLaGarza. In the sixty-second minute, Seattle's Oniel Fisher had a yellow card for a foul. Los Angeles added on with a dos Santos goal in the sixty-fourth minute, made possible by Keane and Sebastian Lletget. The final remained 3-1, with the man of the match being Keane, with the winner and an assist.

Finally, the New York Red Bulls bring in New York City FC. Josh Saunders and Luis Robles tend the nets. New York began with a twenty-first minute Bradley Wright-Phillips goal, courtesy of Kemar Lawrence and Sacha Kljestan. In the forty-fifth minute, NYCFC had a yellow card given to Thomas McNamara for his foul. NYCFC had another yellow card given to Shay Facey in the fifty-ninth minute for a foul. The Red Bulls added on with a Felipe goal in the eighty-fifth minute, passed from Mike Grella. In stoppage time Patrick Mullins of NYCFC had a yellow card for a foul and Connor Lade of New York took a yellow card for an argument. The final stood at 2-0, with the man of the match being Robles for his three-save clean sheet.

MLS Midweek Games August 5, 2015

Two games occurred on a Wednesday this week, beginning with...

The Montreal Impact hosting the New York Red Bulls. Luis Robles and Evan Bush are the gloved men. Montreal took a yellow card for a Laurent Ciman handball in the fourteenth minute. New York's Mike Grella had a yellow card in the thirty-first minute for a foul. The Impact opened with a forty-second minute goal by Dominic Oduro, passed from Dilly Duka. The Red Bulls tied it in the fifty-second minute as Lloyd Sam scored, with the help of Grella. In the fifty-fifth minute, Montreal's Eric Alexander received a yellow card for a foul. New York saw a yellow card go to Shaun Wright-Phillips in the seventy-fifth minute for his foul. The Impact received a yellow card for Johan Venegas' persistent infringement in the same minute. Montreal went down to ten men in the seventy-ninth minute as Ciman picked up his second yellow card of the game for a foul, earning an ejection. The final stood at 1-1, with Sam being the man of the match for his equalizer.

Over in Ontario, Toronto FC hosts Orlando City SC. Tally Hall and Joe Bendik make the starts in goal. Orlando City's Seb Hines had a yellow card in the eighth minute. Toronto started in the twelfth minute on a Sebastian Giovinco penalty kick goal. Orlando City tied it in the seventeenth minute on a Luke Boden goal, via Cristian Higuita. In the forty-sixth minute, Damien Perquis of Toronto took a yellow card. Orlando City's Darwin Ceren received a yellow card in the fifty-fifth minute, leading to Toronto taking the lead through a Giovinco goal the next minute. In the seventy-fifth minute, Benoit Cheyrou of Toronto and Servando Carrasco of Orlando City each received yellow cards. Toronto added on in the eighty-first minute as Collen Warner scored, thanks to Jonathan Osorio and Cheyrou. Toronto extended the lead as Giovinco completed his hat trick in the eighty-eighth minute, with an assist from Cheyrou. The final stood at 4-1, with Giovinco as the man of the match.

Major League Soccer Week 22

It was All Star Week during the middle of the week, but all teams are back in action on the weekend, with eight games on Saturday and two on Sunday. We begin with a matinee at...

Yankee Stadium, as New York City FC host the Montreal Impact. Evan Bush and Josh Saunders are the goalies. Montreal's Dominic Oduro scored in the fifth minute to open the game, assisted by Laurent Ciman. In the twenty-second minute, New York City's Javier Calle took a yellow card for a foul. The Impact added on in the thirty-second minute with an Ignacio Piatti goal, coming off of Andres Romero. New York City's Jefferson Mena had a yellow card for a forty-third minute foul. Montreal saw a yellow card given to Marco Donadel in first half stoppage time for a foul. New York City's Jason Hernandez took a yellow card for a foul in the fifty-third minute. New York City got on the board with a sixty-eighth minute penalty kick goal by David Villa. The Impact's Romero took a yellow card for dissent in the seventy-fifth minute. Montreal answered as Piatti scored on a penalty kick in the eighty-fourth minute. In the eighty-fifth minute, New York City pulled right back on a Thomas McNamara goal, passed from Angelino and Villa. This made it 3-2, which was the final, with Piatti as the man of the match for his brace.

Over in Philadelphia, the Union welcome the New York Red Bulls. Luis Robles and John McCarthy are set to start in goal. New York saw yellow cards go to Damien Perrinelle in the fifty-first minute and Anthony Wallace in the fifty-sixth minute for fouls. Philadelphia saw a yellow card for a Sebastien Le Toux handball in the sixty-second minute. The Red Bulls started with a Sacha Kljestan penalty kick goal in the sixty-sixth minute. In the seventy-third minute, the Union tied it on a Le Toux goal, via Fernando Aristeguieta and Cristian Maidana. New York retook the lead on a seventy-fourth minute goal from Bradley Wright-Phillips, passed from Shaun Wright-Phillips. In the eighty-ninth minute, Aristeguieta took a yellow card for his foul. The Red Bulls made it 3-1 with a stoppage time goal by Anatole Bertrand Abang, made possible by Kljestan and Dax McCarty. The man of the match was Kljestan for a goal and assist.

Continuing along, DC United brings in Real Salt Lake. Jeff Attinella and Andrew Dykstra are the unprepared goalies for what's about to be written. Salt Lake struck first with a Joao Plata goal in the second minute, assisted by Sebastian Jaime. In the twenty-first minute, Real added on with a Kyle Beckerman goal, via Plata. Salt Lake's Justen Glad had a yellow card for a foul in the twenty-eighth minute. DC got on the board on a forty-second minute goal by Chris Rolfe. In the fifty-third minute, Devon Sandoval committed a yellow card-worthy foul for Real, leading to Rolfe's second of the night a minute later on a penalty kick for United, tying the game. Taylor Kemp put DC ahead in the fifty-ninth minute with his goal. Salt Lake retied it on an Aaron Maund goal in the sixty-second minute, with an assist from Javier Morales. United shot back in the sixty-third minute with a Fabian Espindola goal to take the lead back. Real retied it again on a sixty-eighth minute Abdoulie Mansally goal, guided in by Morales. Salt Lake's Beckerman took a yellow card for dissent in the seventieth minute. DC took the lead again on a Perry Kitchen goal in the seventy-ninth minute, fueled by Kemp. In the eighty-fifth minute, United extended the lead with a Nick DeLeon goal. In stoppage time, Kemp got a yellow card for time wasting for DC. The final score stood at a ridiculous 6-4, with the man of the match being Rolfe for his brace that set the tone for United in their crazy win.

Orlando City tied it on a Cyle Larin goal in the eighteenth minute, fueled by Corey Ashe and Servando Carrasco. Orlando City took the lead with a thirty-eighth minute goal by Darwin Ceren. Orlando City added on with another Larin goal in the fifty-third minute, helped along by Ashe. In the sixty-third minute, Orlando City's Seb Hines received a yellow card for a foul. The Crew took a yellow card for a seventy-fourth minute foul by Waylon Francis. Orlando City extended the lead in the seventy-seventh minute with an Aurelien Collin goal, courtesy of Luke Boden. Orlando City padded the lead as Cristian Higuita scored, thanks to Kaka. In stoppage time, Columbus got one back as Collin put a ball into his own net. This produced the 5-2 final score, with the man of the match being Larin for his brace as he continues an unprecedented pace for a rookie.

Back north, the New England Revolution welcome Toronto FC. Joe Bendik and Bobby Shuttleworth get the starting nods in goal. New England had a yellow card for a Jose Goncalves foul in the thirtieth minute. Toronto's Robbie Findley took a yellow card for his thirty-fourth minute foul. The Revolution led off with a Charlie Davies goal in the thirty-fifth minute, set up by Kelyn Rowe and Chris Tierney. Toronto went down to ten men as Jozy Altidore was sent off in the thirty-ninth minute for violent conduct. New England added on with a forty-fourth minute goal by Lee Nguyen, a penalty kick goal. Toronto had three yellow cards in the second half, for fouls by Ahmed Kantari in the forty-eighth minute and Bendik in the sixtieth minute, and for dissent from Damien Perquis in the sixty-first minute. The Revolution extended their lead on a Davies goal in the sixty-second minute. Toronto got on the board with a Jonathan Osorio goal in the seventy-fifth minute, passed from Marco Delgado. The final remained from here at 3-1, with the man of the match being Davies for his brace.

Out west, Sporting Kansas City brings in the Houston Dynamo. Tyler Deric and Tim Melia are the inexperienced goalies. Kansas City was first to score in the sixth minute with a Dominic Dwyer goal, made possible by Benny Feilhaber. Sporting's Matt Besler took a yellow card for a foul in the twentieth minute. In the forty-fifth minute, Kansas City's Dwyer and Houston's goalie Deric both received yellow cards for fouls. Sporting had two yellow cards in the second half, for Kevin Ellis wasting time in the sixty-fifth minute and a seventy-sixth minute Chance Myers foul. The Dynamo tied it on a seventy-eighth minute goal from Ricardo Clark, assisted by Brad Davis. In the eightieth minute, Houston saw a yellow card go to Erick Torres for a foul. The Dynamo ended the game with ten men due to a red card for a foul by Nathan Sturgis in the eighty-sixth minute. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, with the man of the match being Clark for his equalizer.

Further west, the Colorado Rapids host the Los Angeles Galaxy. Donovan Ricketts and Clint Irwin man the nets. Colorado dented the scoreboard in the twelfth minute on a Marcelo Sarvas. The Rapids saw yellow cards for Bobby Burling's forty-second minute foul and an argument a minute later from Sam Cronin. Los Angeles tied it in the fifty-sixth minute on a Sebastian Lletget goal, via Juninho. The Galaxy took the lead with a sixty-ninth minute goal by Alan Gordon. Los Angeles saw yellow cards administered to Edson Buddle in the eightieth minute, Rafael Garcia in the eighty-eighth minute, and Robbie Keane in stoppage time, all for fouls. Two minutes after his yellow card, Keane added on for the Galaxy, with the help of Steven Gerrard. The man of the match was Gordon for his game-winner in the 3-1 game.

Ending Saturday's crazy slate, the Seattle Sounders FC welcome the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. David Ousted and Stefan Frei are the gloved men. Vancouver got going in the sixth minute with a Pa Modou Kah goal. The Whitecaps added on with a forty-ninth minute goal from Kah, courtesy of Cristian Techera and Kekuta Manneh. Seattle saw a yellow card given to Clint Dempsey for a fifty-third minute foul. Vancouver took a yellow card for a Kendall Waston foul in the sixty-seventh minute. The Sounders' Osvaldo Alonso received a yellow card for his foul in the seventy-fourth minute. The Whitecaps extended the lead as Pedro Morales scored in the seventy-fifth minute. The final was 3-0, with the man of the match being Kah for his brace.

The first Sunday game is the San Jose Earthquakes bringing in the Portland Timbers. Adam Larsen Kwarasey and David Bingham are in the six-yard boxes. San Jose had a fourteenth minute yellow card for a Shaun Francis foul. In the eighty-eighth minute, Jordan Stewart of the Earthquakes received a yellow card for a foul. The game ended in a 0-0 draw, with the man of the match being Bingham for his five-save clean sheet.

Rounding out the week, the Chicago Fire host FC Dallas. Dan Kennedy and Sean Johnson are the keepers. Chicago led off in the fourth minute with a David Accam goal, passed from Jason Johnson. Dallas had a yellow card for a Mauro Diaz argument in the thirty-fifth minute. Dallas' Tesho Akindele took a yellow card for his forty-eighth minute foul. In the seventy-sixth minute, Kellyn Acosta of Dallas took a yellow card for his foul. The Fire went down to ten men in the seventy-ninth minute as Matt Watson received a straight red card for his foul. Chicago added on in the eighty-fifth minute with a penalty kick goal by Shaun Maloney. The final stood from here at 2-0, with the man of the match being Accam.

Major League Soccer Week 21

Nine games this weekend, beginning with...

Friday's match, Real Salt Lake hosting Sporting Kansas City. Tim Melia and Jeff Attinella are in goal. Salt Lake started in the thirty-fourth minute with a Javier Morales goal, via Sebastian Jaime. Kansas City tied it as Benny Feilhaber scored in the fiftieth minute, thanks to Roger Espinoza. In the seventy-second minute, Sporting's goalie Melia received a yellow card for his foul, leading to Joao Plata's penalty kick goal a minute later that put Real ahead again. In the seventy-fifth minute, Kansas City saw a yellow card go to Erik Palmer-Brown. In stoppage time, both Sporting's Feilhaber and Sale Lake's Plata took yellow cards for fouls, as well as a yellow card to Real's Elias Vasquez for persistent infringement a minute later. The final stood at 2-1, with the man of the match being Attinella, for five saves on six shots.

Toronto got on the board with a Sebastian Giovinco goal, assisted by Collen Warner. Toronto pulled closer on a fifty-fifth minute Warner goal, coming off of Daniel Lovitz and Giovinco. In the sixty-ninth minute, the Crew's Kamara received a yellow card for a foul. Toronto received yellow cards for a Warner foul in the seventy-sixth minute and dissent by Giovinco in the eighty-fifth minute. Columbus' Waylon Francis took a yellow card for an eighty-eighth minute foul, leading to Toronto's equalizer on a Jozy Altidore penalty kick goal. This made it 3-3, the final, with the man of the match being Warner for leading the Toronto comeback.

Up in Montreal, the Impact bring in the Seattle Sounders FC. Troy Perkins faces his former team and Evan Bush in goal. The final stood at 1-0, with Ciman earning the man of the match honors for his late winner.

New York City regained the lead on a Villa goal in the sixty-seventh minute, his second of the game, set up by Kwadwo Poku. New York City added on with a McNamara goal, guided in by Poku. Orlando City's Rivas took a yellow card for an eighty-first minute foul. Orlando City is not done yet, with Larin completing his hat trick with an eighty-fifth minute goal, fueled by Kaka. In the eighty-eighth minute, Andrea Pirlo took a yellow card for a foul. Carrasco of Orlando City had a yellow card for his ninetieth minute foul. New York City iced it at 5-3 with a Mix Diskerud goal, courtesy of Poku and Villa in stoppage time, the former getting a sock trick for three assists. In the crazy game, Larin is the man of the match for his hat trick, despite his team losing.

Next up, DC United welcomes the Philadelphia Union. Brian Sylvestre and Andrew Dykstra are the goalies. Philadelphia dented the scoreboard in the first minute with a C.J. Sapong goal, coming off of Cristian Maidana. The Union added on in the fourth minute as Sebastien Le Toux scored, with the help of Zach Pfeffer. DC got on the board with a thirty-seventh minute goal by Alvaro Saborio, assisted by Chris Korb and Nick DeLeon. United tied it in the sixty-sixth minute with a DeLeon goal, passed from Fabian Espindola. Philadelphia took a yellow card for an Eric Ayuk Mbu foul in the sixty-eighth minute. Major League Soccer Week 20

Everyone plays this weekend, beginning on Friday in...

Los Angeles, with the Galaxy hosting the San Jose Earthquakes for a Cali Clasico. David Bingham and Brian Rowe are called on to start in goal. San Jose started in the twenty-second minute with a Quincy Amarikwa goal, assisted by Sanna Nyassi. The Earthquakes added on with an Amarikwa goal in the twenty-fifth minute, courtesy of Clarence Goodson. In the thirtieth minute, Tommy Thompson of San Jose received a yellow card for a foul, and Los Angeles got a goal back as Robbie Keane scored on the ensuing penalty kick. In the thirty-sixth minute, Robbie Rogers of the Galaxy had a yellow card for a foul. Los Angeles tied it on a thirty-seventh minute Steven Gerrard goal. The Earthquakes saw a yellow card for Shea Salinas' foul in the fifty-fifth minute. The Galaxy took the lead on another Keane goal, set up by Gerrard. San Jose saw yellow cards by the goalie Bingham in the sixty-ninth minute for unsporting behavior and by Jordan Stewart for a foul in the seventieth minute. In the eightieth minute, Keane completed his hat trick for Los Angeles with another penalty kick goal. In the eighty-ninth minute, the Galaxy's Keane received a yellow card for a foul. In stoppage time, Los Angeles made it 5-2 with a Sebastian Lletget goal, passed from Rogers. This was the final score, with the man of the match being Keane for his hat trick.

The first of eight Saturday games is Toronto FC welcoming the Philadelphia Union north of the border. Brian Sylvestre and Joe Bendik are set to start in goal. The Revolution took yellow cards for a Nguyen foul in the twenty-ninth minute and a Scott Caldwell foul in the forty-second minute. New York City took a yellow card in the forty-eighth minute for a foul by Jason Hernandez. New York City went down to ten men when Ned Grabavoy received a red card for his fifty-fifth minute foul. New York City got another booking for a sixty-eighth minute Andrew Jacobson foul. In stoppage time, New England's Jeremy Hall received a yellow card for a foul. The final stood at 1-0, with the man of the match being Nguyen.

Down in Florida, Orlando City SC hosts the New York Red Bulls. Luis Robles and Tally Hall are the veteran goalies. New York led off in the twenty-first minute with a Sacha Kljestan goal, assisted by Dax McCarty. Orlando City went down to ten men when Cyle Larin received a red card for a foul in the thirty-second minute. The Red Bulls saw Anatole Bertrand Abang take a yellow card for his foul in the fifty-ninth minute. Orlando City's Cristian Higuita received a yellow card for a sixty-fifth minute foul. To the south, FC Dallas brings in DC United. Andrew Dykstra and Dan Kennedy protect the nets. Dallas dented the scoreboard in the seventy-third minute on a Kellyn Acosta goal, fueled by David Texeira. DC got on the board as Matt Hedges recorded an own goal in the seventy-seventh minute. In stoppage time, Dallas retook the lead with a Fabian Castillo goal. Two minutes later, United's Jairo Arrieta took a yellow card for unsporting behavior. Ending Saturday, the Portland Timbers bring in the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. David Ousted and Adam Larsen Kwarasey are the keepers. Columbus struck first in the second minute with a Federico Higuain penalty kick goal. Chicago tied it in the ninth minute on a David Accam goal. The Crew retook the lead in the seventeenth minute as Kei Kamara scored, thanks to Waylon Francis. In the thirty-fifth minute, Jason Johnson of the Fire took a yellow card for a foul. In first half stoppage time, Chicago's Adailton took a yellow card for his handball. In the fiftieth minute, the Fire went to ten men as Jason Johnson received another yellow card for a dive, earning him an ejection. In the fifty-third minute, Columbus'

Nine games on in MLS play around the Gold Cup this week. We begin with one on Friday, with...

The San Jose Earthquakes hosting the Houston Dynamo. Tyler Deric and David Bingham man the nets. Houston opened with Ricardo Clark's tenth minute goal, via Alexander Lopez. The Dynamo goalie, Deric, received a yellow card in the thirty-first minute for a foul. Houston had a yellow card go to DaMarcus Beasley in the thirty-seventh minute for his foul. In first half stoppage time, the Dynamo took two more yellow cards, for fouls by Raul Rodriguez and Nathan Sturgis. Houston added on with a Will Bruin goal in the eighty-first minute, passed from Leonel Miranda. This made it 2-0, the final, with the man of the match being Deric for a three-save clean sheet.

Saturday's first game sees the New York Red Bulls welcome the New England Revolution. Bobby Shuttleworth and Luis Robles are in goal. New York started in the fourth minute with a Bradley Wright-Phillips goal, via Lloyd Sam. The Red Bulls added on in the ninth minute with a Sam goal, passed from Mike Grella and Wright-Phillips. New York extended the lead as Wright-Phillips scored again in the twelfth minute, with the help of Dax McCarty and Sacha Kljestan. New England took a yellow card for dissent by Jose Goncalves in the thirty-fifth minute. In the fifty-fourth minute, the Red Bulls' Felipe took a yellow card for dangerous play. New York padded their lead in the fifty-sixth minute with an Anthony Wallace goal, set up by McCarty. London Woodberry of New England had a yellow card for his persistent infringement in the fifty-eighth minute. The Red Bulls saw yellow cards go to McCarty in the sixty-second minute for dissent, Robles in the sixty-fifth minute for time wasting, and Connor Lade in the seventy-sixth minute for a foul. Montreal was first to score in the fifth minute on a Dominic Oduro goal, assisted by Ignacio Piatti. The Impact added on with a Marco Donadel goal in the eighth minute, via Calum Mallace. In the twenty-fourth minute, Montreal's Dilly Duka took a yellow card for a foul. Columbus saw a yellow card for a twenty-fifth minute foul by Mohamed Saeid. In the fifty-fifth minute, Justin Meram of the Crew took a yellow card for his foul. The Impact took another yellow card in the sixty-sixth minute for an Ambroise Oyongo foul. Montreal extended the lead in the eightieth minute with a goal by Oduro. Columbus. The Impact saw Bakary Soumare receive a yellow card for dissent in the eighty-sixth minute. The final stood at 3-0 for Montreal, with Oduro's brace earning him man of the match honors.

Back stateside, the Chicago Fire bring in the Seattle Sounders FC. Troy Perkins and Sean Johnson guard the woodwork. Seattle took the first yellow card in the eightieth minute for an Andy Craven foul. Chicago had a pair of yellow cards for Razvan Cocis' persistent infringement in the eighty-second minute and Adailton's foul in the eighty-fourth minute. The Fire got a late 1-0 winner in stoppage time on a Jason Johnson goal, coming off of Michael Stephens. Colorado tied it on an eighty-first minute goal by Drew Moor, made possible by Charles Eloundou. The Rapids took a yellow card for an eighty-third minute foul by Bobby Burling. Real went down to ten men when Jaime received a straight red card for his foul in the eighty-fourth minute. Colorado took the lead a minute into stoppage time on a Jared Watts goal. The Rapids added on six minutes later with a Juan Ramirez goal, assisted by Eloundou. The final was 3-1, with the man of the match being Watts for his game-winner.

Toronto tied it in the fortieth minute as Giovinco scored again, thanks to Jackson and Collen Warner. Toronto gained the lead in the forty-third minute when Giovinco completed his hat trick on a goal assisted by Robbie Findley and Marco Delgado. In the sixty-fifth minute, Villa scored on a penalty kick to tie the game for New York City on his second of the game.
