MLS 2019 - Week 17

A full weekend of games for the first time in a long time begins with a pair on Friday. First up...

The New York Red Bulls host the Chicago Fire. Kenneth Kronholm and Luis Robles are the goalies. New York led off in the 8th minute with an Alejandro Romero Gamarra goal. The Red Bulls had yellow cards for a foul by Marc Rzatkowski in the 28th minute and time wasting by Robles in the 30th minute. New York added on with a Brian white goal in the 59th minute, via Daniel Royer. Nemanja Nikolic of Chicago received a yellow card for a 74th minute foul. The Fire got on the board with a Nikolic goal in the 81st minute. The Red Bulls replied in stoppage time with a Royer goal, fueled by Kyle Duncan and Bradley Wright-Phillips. This made it 3-1, the final, with the man of the match being Royer.

Out in Colorado, the Rapids welcome Los Angeles FC. Pablo Sisniega is mismatched with Tim Howard in goal. Colorado got going in the 49th minute with a Danny Wilson goal, via Jack Price. Los Angeles saw yellow cards for persistent infringement by Lee Nguyen in the 58th minute and a foul by Tristan Blackmon in the 61st minute. The Rapids had yellow cards for a Price foul in the 73rd minute, persistent infringement by Cole Bassett in the 75th minute, and a Nicolas Mezquida foul in the 85th minute. The final remained at 1-0, with Wilson picked as man of the match.

On Saturday, Minnesota United FC brings in FC Cincinnati. Spencer Richey and Vito Mannone are the MLS newcomers in goal. Minnesota began in the 18th minute with an Ike Opara goal. The Loons added on with a Hassani Dotson goal, via Jan Gregus. Minnesota extended the lead as Ethan Finlay scored in the 30th minute, thanks to Darwin Quintero and Angelo Rodriguez. The Loons padded the lead with a Rodriguez goal in the 43rd minute, set up by Quintero. Minnesota's Miguel Ibarra had a yellow card for a 54th minute foul. Cincinnati got on the board in the 56h minute with an Emmanuel Ledesma goal, courtesy of Kekuta Manneh. Rodriguez of the Loons received a yellow card for his 59th minute foul. Minnesota replied with an Opara goal, coming off of Gregus in the 70th minute. Justin Hoyte of the Orange and Blue took a yellow card for a 73rd minute foul. The Loons continued in the 75th minute on a Mason Toye goal, guided in by Gregus. Finlay of Minnesota picked up a yellow card for a 79th minute foul. The Loons capped it at 7-1 with a Kevin Molino goal, fueled by Toye and Finlay. The man of the match was Gregus.

Down in Georgia, Atlanta United FC hosts the Montreal Impact. Evan Bush and Brad Guzan are the gloved men. Atlanta started in the 35th minute with a Justin Meram goal, via Gonzalo Martinez. Brandon Vazquez of the Five Stripes had a yellow card for a 40th minute foul. Ken Krolicki of Montreal received a yellow card in the 41st minute. The Impact tied it in the 50th minute with a Zakaria Diallo goal, coming off of Harry Novillo. Atlanta's Darlington Nagbe and Franco Escobar took yellow cards for fouls in the 57th and 67th minutes, respectively. The Five Stripes reclaimed the lead in the 83rd minute with another Meram goal, assisted by Brek Shea and Leandro Gonzalez Pirez. Jukka Raitala of Montreal picked up a yellow card for a 90th minute foul. The game ended 2-1, with the man of the match being Meram for his brace.

North to the Bronx, where New York City FC welcomes the Philadelphia Union. Matt Freese and Brad Stuver make the spot starts in goal. Philadelphia opened in the 7th minute with a Fabrice-Jean Picault goal, via Jamiro Monteiro. Valentin Castellanos of New York City had a yellow card for a 13th minute foul. The Pigeons tied it in the 23rd minute with a Maximiliano Moralez penalty kick goal. The Union reclaimed the lead on a Kacper Przybylko goal, courtesy of Monteiro and Ilsinho. In the 39th minute, New York City's Maxime Chanot had a yellow card for a foul. Ilsinho of Philadelphia received a yellow card for a foul in first half stoppage time. The Union's Alejandro Bedoya was booked on a yellow card for a 54th minute foul. The Pigeons tied it again in the 55th minute on another Moralez penalty kick goal. Jack Elliott of Philadelphia earned a yellow card for a 57th minute foul. New York City pulled ahead on a Castellanos goal in the 71st minute, fueled by Moralez. The Pigeons added on with another Castellanos goal in the 78th minute, again from Moralez. The Union received yellow cards for dissent by Raymon Gaddis in the 88th minute and Przybylko in the 89th minute. The game ended at 4-2, with Moralez picked as man of the match.

Westward to Ohio, as the Columbus Crew SC brings in Orlando City SC. Brian Rowe and Jon Kempin are in the six-yard boxes. Kyle Smith of Orlando City had a yellow card for a 15th minute foul. The Lions struck first in the 41st minute with a Chris Mueller goal, passed from Nani and Danilo Acosta. Sacha Kljestan of Orlando City picked up a yellow card for a 63rd minute foul. The Lions added on in the 66th minute with a Tesho Akindele goal, assisted by Nani. Alex Crognale of Columbus took a yellow card for an 82nd minute foul. Orlando City's Carlos Ascues received a yellow card for not retreating in the 87th minute. The final was 2-0, with Nani's pair of assists making him man of the match.

Back east, the New England Revolution host the Houston Dynamo. Joe Willis and Matt Turner are the keepers. Houston was first to score in the 25th minute on a Darwin Ceren goal, via Alejandro Fuenmayor. Romell Quioto of the Dynamo had a yellow card for dissent in the 43rd minute. Antonio Mlinar Delamea of New England picked up a yellow card for a 45th minute foul. The Revolution tied it in the 51st minute with a Delamea goal, guided in by Diego Fagundez. New England's Andrew Farrell took a yellow card for a 54th minute foul. Juan Cabezas of Houston had a yellow card for an 82nd minute foul. In the 83rd minute, Juan Agudelo of the Revolution received a yellow card for a foul. The Dynamo's Fuenmayor received a yellow card in the 86th minute for his foul. New England pulled ahead in stoppage time with a Teal Bunbury goal, passed from Cristian Penilla and Juan Fernando Caicedo. This made it 2-1, the final, with the man of the match being Bunbury for the late winner.

Next up, DC United welcomes Toronto FC. Quentin Westberg and Bill Hamid are between the sticks. Toronto cracked the scoresheet in the 19th minute with a Nick DeLeon goal, passed from Richie Laryea. The Reds' Laryea took a yellow card for a 42nd minute foul. Frederic Brillant of DC had a yellow card for a 53rd minute foul. Toronto saw yellow cards for fouls by Jay Chapman in the 65th minute and DeLeon in the 87th minute. The Black and Red tied it in stoppage time with a Wayne Rooney penalty kick goal. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with DeLeon selected as man of the match.

Way out west, the Cali Clasico sees the San Jose Earthquakes bring in the Los Angeles Galaxy. David Bingham faces his former team and Daniel Vega in goal. San Jose drew first blood in the 11th minute with a Valeri Qazaishvili goal. Los Angeles had yellow cards for fouls by Diego Polenta in the 51st minute and Favio Alvarez in the 67th minute. The Earthquakes added on with a Shea Salinas goal in the 82nd minute, set up by Qazaishvili. Salinas would take a yellow card for delaying the game with a celebration. San Jose extended the lead as Tommy Thompson scored in the 85th minute, thanks to Salinas. The final was 3-0, with Qazaishvili earning man of the match honors.

Backtracking to Utah, as Real Salt Lake hosts Sporting Kansas City. Tim Melia and Nick Rimando tend the nets. Salt Lake dented the scoreboard in the 15th minute with a Sam Johnson goal, via Kyle Beckerman and Damir Kreilach. Real added on with another Johnson goal in the 29th minute, assisted by Kreilach and Albert Rusnak. Ilie Sanchez of Kansas City earned a yellow card for a 38th minute foul. Salt Lake's Beckerman received a yellow card in first half stoppage time for a foul. Sporting had a yellow card for a 66th minute foul by Benny Feilhaber. Real saw a yellow card for an Everton Luiz foul in second half stoppage time. Real won 2-0, and Johnson was picked as man of the match.

Saturday ends in Seattle, as Sounders FC welcomes the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Zac MacMath is mismatched with Stefan Frei in goal. Vancouver had yellow cards for fouls by Yordy Reyna in the 66th minute and Lucas Venuto in stoppage time. Seattle claimed a late 1-0 win with a Kelvin Leerdam goal six minutes into stoppage time, set up by Brad Smith. The heroic goal made Leerdam the man of the match.

Finally, the Portland Timbers bring in FC Dallas. Jesse Gonzalez and Steve Clark are set to start in goal. Dallas saw a yellow card for a 32nd minute foul by Dominique Badji. Portland got going in the 42nd minute with a Brian Fernandez goal, via Sebastian Blanco. The Toros took a yellow card in the 50th minute for a Paxton Pomykal foul. Jorge Moreira of the Timbers received a yellow card for a handball in the 88th minute. The final remained at 1-0 with Fernandez picked as man of the match.

NWSL 2019 - Week 11

Another four-game weekend is here, beginning on Friday with...

Utah Royals FC hosting Reign FC. Casey Murphy and Nicole Barnhart play in goal. Reign started in the 30th minute with a Jess Fishlock goal, courtesy of Bethany Balcer. Reign added on in the 35th minute with an Ifeoma Onumonu goal, set up by Fishlock. In the 49th minute, Reign's Shea Groom took a yellow card for persistent infringement. In the 84th minute, Utah's Katie Stengel received a yellow card for her foul. The final remained at 2-0, with the woman of the match being Fishlock.

On Saturday, the Washington Spirit welcome the North Carolina Courage. Katelyn Rowland and Aubrey Bledsoe protect the nets. In the 39th minute, Amy Harrison of Washington took a yellow card for a foul. North Carolina opened in first half stoppage time with a Debinha goal on a rebound after her own penalty kick. The Courage added on in the 53rd minute with a Leah Pruitt goal, set up by Lynn Williams. The Spirit got on the board in the 82nd minute with a Crystal Thomas goal coming off of Bayley Feist and Sam Staab on the long throw. In second half stoppage time, North Carolina's McCall Zerboni had a yellow card for a foul. The game ended 2-1, with Debinha selected as woman of the match.

In Texas, the Houston Dash bring in the Portland Thorns FC. Britt Eckerstrom and Jane Campbell guard the woodwork. Houston got going in the 51st minute on a Kyah Simon goal, courtesy of Christine Nairn. Portland's Elizabeth Ball had a yellow card for a foul in the 60th minute. The Thorns tied it in the 70th minute with a Tyler Lussi goal, made possible by Ellie Carpenter. The Dash's Satara Murray received a yellow card in the 75th minute for a foul. Portland took the lead in the same minute on a Midge Purce goal, set up by Lussi. The final stood at 2-1, with the woman of the match named as Purce.

Finally, the Orlando Pride host the Chicago Red Stars. Emily Boyd and Haley Kopmeyer are the backups in goal. Chicago struck first in the 7th minute with a Sam Kerr goal on an interception. Orlando tied it in the 22nd minute as Chioma Ubogagu stole the ball from Boyd and scored the equalizing goal. The Red Stars retook the lead with a Kerr goal in first half stoppage time, set up by Yuki Nagasato. Chicago added on with a Kerr goal to complete her hat trick in the 55th minute, courtesy of Michele Vasconcelos. The Red Stars' Danielle Colaprico took a yellow card for a 61st minute foul. The Pride pulled one back with a penalty kick goal by Marta in the 79th minute. Orlando's Camila received a yellow card in the 87th minute for dissent. The final held at 3-2, with Kerr the obvious woman of the match.

Six games are on at midweek tonight, beginning with...

The New England Revolution hosting the Philadelphia Union. Matt Freese and Brad Knighton are in goal. Philadelphia saw yellow cards for Brenden Aaronson not retreating in the 11th minute and a 28th minute foul by Auston Trusty. New England led off in the 31st minute with a Brandon Bye goal, via Carles Gil. In the 33rd minute, Gil of the Revolution had a yellow card for not retreating. The Union's Haris Medunjanin received a yellow card for a 45th minute. Teal Bunbury of New England took a yellow card in the 61st minute for his foul. Kai Wagner of Philadelphia picked up a yellow card in the 65th minute for a foul. The Union tied it in the 84th minute with a Kacper Przybylko goal. This made it 1-1, the final, with the man of the match being Przybylko.

In Canada, Toronto FC welcomes Atlanta United FC. Brad Guzan and Quentin Westberg play in goal. Toronto began in the 1st minute with a Tsubasa Endon goal. Atlanta's Leandro Gonzalez Pirez received a yellow card for a foul in the 11th minute. The Five Stripes tied it in the 17th minute with a Gonzalo Martinez penalty kick goal. Atlanta pulled ahead in the 22nd minute with a Julian Gressel goal. The Reds retied it in the 27th minute with an Alejandro Pozuelo goal, set up by Jacob Shaffelburg and Liam Fraser. Toronto's Laurent Ciman had a yellow card in the 69th minute. The Reds pulled ahead with a Pozuelo penalty kick goal in stoppage time, and he was the man of the match of the 3-2 game.

Over in Quebec, the Montreal Impact bring in the Portland Timbers. Jeff Attinella and Evan Bush are the veterans in goal. Montreal opened in the 28th minute with a Orji Okwonkwo goal, via Bacary Sagna. Shamit Shome of the Impact had a yellow card for time wasting in the 32nd minute. Portland tied it in the 53rd minute with a Tomas Conechny goal, assisted by Julio Cascante and Marvin Loria. Conechny of the Timbers took a yellow card for not retreating in the 57th minute. Montreal retook the lead in the 66th minute on an Okwonkwo goal, passed from Saphir Taider. Marco Farfan of Portland picked up a yellow card for a 77th minute foul. The Impact's Victor Cabrera took a yellow card for a foul in stoppage time. The final remained at 2-1, with Okwonkwo earning man of the match honors.

Back stateside, DC United hosts Orlando City SC. Brian Rowe and Bill Hamid draw the starts in goal. DC started in the 10th minute with a long Wayne Rooney goal. Orlando City's Ruan had a yellow card for a 27th minute foul. In the 89th minute, Sacha Kljestan of the Lions took a yellow card for his foul. Lucas Rodriguez of the Black and Red received a yellow card for time wasting in the 90th minute. The final was 1-0, with Rooney being the man of the match.

NWSL 2019 - Week 10

We're back for another four-game week, beginning on Friday with...

The Portland Thorns FC hosting the Utah Royals FC. Nicole Barnhart faces a lesser foe in Britt Eckerstrom in goal. Portland's Celeste Boureille took a yellow card for a 29th minute foul. Utah saw a 56th minute yellow card for Lo'eau Labonta's foul. The final remained as it started at 0-0, with Eckerstrom's four save clean sheet making her the woman of the match.

On Saturday, the Washington Spirit welcome the Houston Dash. Jane Campbell and Aubrey Bledsoe protect the nets. Houston saw a yellow card for a foul by Christine Nairn in the 44th minute. The Dash's Ariana Calderon had a yellow card in the 73rd minute for a foul. The final stayed at 0-0, with Ashley Hatch as the woman of the match for the Spirit.

Also, Sky Blue FC brings in the Orlando Pride. Haley Kopmeyer and DiDi Haracic are the backups in goal. Orlando led off in the 32nd minute with a Chioma Ubogagu penalty kick goal. After time off to accommodate the international schedule, MLS is back with six games this weekend. We begin with...

FC Cincinnati hosting the Los Angeles Galaxy. David Bingham and Spencer Richey play in goal. Los Angeles began in the 12th minute with an Emmanuel Boateng goal, via Favio Alvarez. The Galaxy added on in the 15th minute with an Alvarez goal. Julian Araujo of Los Angeles took a yellow card for a foul in the 57th minute. Cincinnati saw yellow cards for fouls by Leonardo Bertone in the 61st minute and Nick Hagglund in the 79th minute. The Galaxy's Boateng received a yellow card for his 80th minute foul. The game ended 2-0, with Alvarez the man of the match.

Along to Chicago, as the Fire welcome Real Salt Lake. Nick Rimando and Kenneth Kronholm draw the starts in goal. Chicago led off in the 5th minute with an Aleksandar Katai goal. Mohammed Adams of the Fire took a yellow card for a 15th minute foul. Salt Lake got on the board in the 33rd minute with an Albert Rusnak penalty kick goal. Real saw a yellow card for an Everton Luiz foul in the 34th minute. In stoppage time, Salt Lake's Rimando and Bastian Schweinsteiger of Chicago picked up yellow cards, the former for dissent and the latter for a foul. The final was 1-1, with Katai picked as man of the match.

Down in Texas, FC Dallas brings in Toronto FC. Quentin Westberg and Jesse Gonzalez are in the six-yard boxes. Dallas opened in the 41st minute with a Dominique Badji goal, courtesy of Jesus Ferreira. The Toros added on in the 51st minute with a Bressan goal, coming off of Michael Barrios. Dallas extended the lead as Badji scored again in the 58th minute, thanks to Ferreira and Paxton Pomykal. This produced the 3-0 final score, with Badji's brace making him man of the match.

Northwest to Vancouver, as the Whitecaps FC host the Colorado Rapids. Tim Howard and Zac MacMath are the keepers. Colorado started in the 8th minute on a Diego Rubio goal, assisted by Nicolas Mezquida. The Rapids added on in the 20th minute with an Andre Shinyashiki goal, via Kei Kamara and Mezquida. Shinyashiki of the Rapids received a yellow card for a 54th minute foul. Jon Erice of the Whitecaps took a yellow card for his foul in the 61st minute. Vancouver tied it in the 80th minute with a Yordy Reyna goal. Kellyn Acosta of Colorado picked up a yellow card for his foul in second half stoppage time, as did teammate Lalas Abubakar.

Houston's Matias Vera picked up a yellow card for foul in the 47th minute. The Timbers took a yellow card for a Valeri foul in the 54th minute. Portland added on in the 61st minute with a Valeri penalty kick goal. The Timbers extended the lead in the 63rd minute as Brian Fernandez scored, thanks to Valeri. Portland padded the lead with a Jeremy Ebobisse goal in the 75th minute, helped along by Valeri. This produced the 4-0 final score, with Valeri selected as man of the match.

Finally on Sunday, Columbus Crew SC brings in Sporting Kansas City. Tim Melia and Jon Kempin are the gloved men. Matt Besler of Kansas City had a yellow card for a foul in first half stoppage time. Northwest to Utah, as the Royals FC bring in Sky Blue FC. DiDi Haracic and Nicole Barnhart patrol the penalty areas. Utah began in the 16th minute with an Amy Rodriguez goal, via Gunny Jonsdottir. Erica Skroski of Sky Blue took a yellow card for a foul in the 84th minute. Erika Tymrak of the Royals received a yellow card in stoppage time for a foul. The final was 1-0, with Rodriguez as the woman of the match.

Finally, Reign FC hosts the Washington Spirit. Aubrey Bledsoe and Casey Murphy tend the nets. Washington's Tori Huster picked up a yellow card for a 55th minute foul. 2019 Stanley Cup Finals - Boston Bruins v. St. Louis Blues

The final set of games of the NHL season is here, as the Boston Bruins take on the St. Louis Blues for the Stanley Cup.

Game 1: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts. In goal: Tuukka Rask for the Bruins and Jordan Binnington for the Blues. St. Louis started in the first period with a Brayden Schenn goal, his third of the postseason, via Jaden Schwartz and Jay Bouwmeester. The Blues added on in the second period with a Vladimir Tarasenko goal, his ninth of the playoffs, guided in by Schenn. Boston got on the board with a Connor Clifton goal, his second of the postseason, coming off of Sean Kuraly and Joakim Nordstrom. The Bruins tied it on an unassisted power play goal by Charlie McAvoy, his second of the playoffs. Boston took the lead in the third period with a Kuraly goal, his third of the postseason, helped along by Noel Acciari and Zdeno Chara. The Bruins iced it at 4-2 with a Brad Marchand empty net goal, his eighth of the playoffs, going in unassisted. The three stars were Kuraly, McAvoy, and Schenn. The Bruins own a 1-0 series lead to start the series.

Game 2: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts. In goal: Tuukka Rask for the Bruins and Jordan Binnington for the Blues. Boston opened in the first period with a Charlie Coyle power play goal, his seventh of the postseason, powered by Jake DeBrusk and David Pastrnak. St. Louis tied it on a Robert Bortuzzo goal, his second of the playoffs, guided in by Tyler Bozak and Carl Gunnarsson. The Bruins pulled ahead with a Joakim Nordstrom goal, his third of the postseason, via Sean Kuraly. The Blues tied it again with a Vladimir Tarasenko goal, his tenth of the playoffs, with a lone assist by Jaden Schwartz. St. Louis won 3-2 in overtime with a Gunnarsson goal, fueled by Ryan O'Reilly and Oskar Sundqvist. The three stars were Gunnarsson, Tarasenko, and Bortuzzo. The series heads west tied at 1 game apiece.

Game 3: Enterprise Center, St. Louis, Missouri. In goal: Jordan Binnington for the Blues and Tuukka Rask for the Bruins. Boston led off in the first period with a Patrice Bergeron power play goal, his ninth of the postseason, powered by Torey Krug and Jake DeBrusk. The Bruins added on with a Charlie Coyle goal, his eighth of the playoffs, via Marcus Johansson and Danton Heinen. Boston extended the lead as Sean Kuraly scored his fourth of the postseason, thanks to Joakim Nordstrom. The Bruins padded the lead in the second period with a David Pastrnak power play goal, his eighth of the playoffs, with assists provided by Krug and Bergeron. St. Louis got on the board with an Ivan Barbashev goal, his third of the postseason, passed from Zach Sanford and Alexander Steen. Boston replied on a Krug power play goal, his second of the playoffs, fueled by Brad Marchand and Bergeron. The Blues got one back with a Colton Parayko power play goal in the third period, his second of the postseason, guided in by Ryan O'Reilly and Tyler Bozak. The Bruins countered with a Noel Acciari empty net goal, his second of the playoffs, set up by Nordstrom and Coyle. Boston iced it at 7-2 with a Johansson power play goal, his fourth of the postseason, with helpers from Krug and Connor Clifton. The three stars were Krug, Bergeron, and Johansson, while Coyle and Nordstrom get the honorable mentions. The Bruins retook the series lead at 2-1.

Game 4: Enterprise Center, St. Louis, Missouri. In goal: Jordan Binnington for the Blues and Tuukka Rask for the Bruins. St. Louis began in the first period with a Ryan O'Reilly goal, his fourth of the postseason, courtesy of Zach Sanford and Vince Dunn. Boston tied it on a Charlie Coyle goal, his ninth of the playoffs, guided in by Zdeno Chara. The Blues retook the lead with a Vladimir Tarasenko goal, his eleventh of the postseason, via Alex Pietrangelo and Brayden Schenn. The Bruins tied it in the second period with a Brandon Carlo shorthanded goal, set up by Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. St. Louis regained the lead on another O'Reilly goal in the third period, his second of the game and fifth of the playoffs, fueled by Pietrangelo and Carl Gunnarsson. The Blues iced it at 4-2 with a Schenn empty net goal, his fourth of the postseason, going in unassisted. The three stars were O'Reilly, Pietrangelo, and Schenn. The series heads back to Boston tied at 2 games apiece.

Game 5: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts. In goal: Tuukka Rask for the Bruins and Jordan Binnington for the Blues. St. Louis got going in the second period with a Ryan O'Reilly goal, his sixth of the postseason, via Zach Sanford and Alex Pietrangelo. The Blues added on in the third period with a David Perron goal, his seventh of the playoffs, made possible by O'Reilly. Boston got on the board with a Jake DeBrusk goal, his fourth of the postseason, fueled by Torey Krug. This only made it 2-1, the final, with the three stars being Binnington (38 for 39 in saves), O'Reilly, and Perron. The Blues head home with a 3-2 series lead and two chances to clinch the Stanley Cup.

Game 6: Enterprise Center, St. Louis, Missouri. In goal: Jordan Binnington for the Blues and Tuukka Rask for the Bruins. Boston struck first in the first period with a Brad Marchand power play goal, his ninth of the postseason, powered by David Pastrnak and Torey Krug. The Bruins added on with a Brandon Carlo goal in the third period, his second of the playoffs, with a lone assist by Jake DeBrusk. Boston extended the lead as Karson Kuhlman scored, thanks to David Krejci. St. Louis got on the board with a Ryan O'Reilly goal, his seventh of the postseason, made possible by Alex Pietrangelo and David Perron. The Bruins countered with a Pastrnak goal, his ninth of the playoffs, via Marchand and Sean Kuraly. Boston iced it at 5-1 with an empty net goal by Zdeno Chara, his second of the postseason, going in unassisted. The three stars were Pastrnak, Marchand, and Rask (28 for 29 in saves). The series returns to Boston for the final game of the season, with the Stanley Cup Finals tied at 3. 

Game 7: TD Garden, Boston, Massachusetts. In goal: Tuukka Rask for the Bruins and Jordan Binnington for the Blues. St. Louis was first to score in the first period with a Ryan O'Reilly goal, his eighth of the postseason, via Jay Bouwmeester and Alex Pietrangelo. The Blues added on with a Pietrangelo goal, his third of the playoffs, guided in by Jaden Schwartz. St. Louis extended the lead in the third period as Brayden Schenn scored his fifth of the postseason, coming off of Vladimir Tarasenko and Schwartz. The Blues padded the lead on a Zach Sanford goal, made possible by David Perron and O'Reilly. Boston got on the board with a Matt Grzelcyk goal, his fourth of the playoffs, fueled by David Krejci. This only made it 4-1, the final, with the three stars given to Binnington (32 for 33 in saves), O'Reilly, and Pietrangelo, while Schwartz gets an honorable mention. The Blues won the Stanley Cup on a 4-3 series win, with Ryan O'Reilly named the Conn Smythe winner.
