MLB Day 166 2012

Lots of storms today, with both New York teams losing their games today, as well as the Nationals. That leaves us with twelve games to play, beginning in...

The Athletics took one back in the seventh inning when Yoenis Cespedes hit a ground rule double to force in Reddick. The Tigers padded the lead as Cabrera hit a grand slam, sweeping in Laird, Jackson, and Avisail Garcia. This made it 12-2, a final, with the win belonging to Darin Downs, while the loss was pinned on Griffin.

Back into Pittsburgh, with the Pirates hosting the Milwaukee Brewers. Yovani Gallardo and A.J. Burnett take the hill. Milwaukee began in the second inning as Norichika Aoki singled to plate Travis Ishikawa. The Brewers added on in the sixth inning with Jean Segura singling Jonathan Lucroy around. Milwaukee struck again in the seventh inning as Ryan Braun singled home Rickie Weeks before scoring on a single by Lucroy.
