Magnitogorsk, with Metallurg hosting Dynamo Moscow. Alexander Sharychenkov and Vasily Koshechkin are the goalies. Magnitogorsk opened in the first period on a Wojtek Wolski goal, via Chris Lee and Viktor Antipin. Moscow tied it with a Vladimir Bryukvin goal, fueled by Denis Kokarev and Mat Robinson. Metallurg took the lead again in the third period on a Danis Zaripov goal, courtesy of Wolski and Jan Kovar. This stood for a 2-1 win, with the three stars being Wolski, Koshechkin (27 for 28 in saves), and Zaripov.
West to Chelyabinsk, with Traktor welcoming Medvescak Zagreb. Danny Taylor and Vasily Demchenko man the nets. Chelyabinsk struck first in the first period on a Deron Quint goal, assisted by Danil Gubarev and Alexander Rybakov. Zagreb tied it on a Tuukka Mantyla power play goal in the third period, powered by Simon Gysbers and Jesse Saarinen. The tie went to a shootout, where Anton Glinkin and Maxim Yakutsenya won it for Traktor 2-1. Demchenko (31 for 32 in saves), Taylor (36 for 37 in saves), and Quint receive the three stars.
Back east, Salavat Yulaev Ufa hosts Vityaz Podolsk. Harri Sateri and Niklas Svedberg are between the pipes. Ufa got going in the second period on a Zakhar Arzamastsev goal, passed from Teemu Hartikainen and Nikolai Prokhorkin. Salavat Yulaev added on with a Maxim Mayorov goal, made possible by Hartikainen. Ufa extended the lead in the third period as Alexander Loginov scored a shorthanded empty net goal, set up by Andreas Engqvist. The final stayed at 3-0, and the three stars went to Svedberg (32 save shutout), Hartikainen, and Arzamastsev.
Returning west, with Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk bringing in Slovan Bratislava. Barry Brust and Alexander Sudnitsin are the masked men. The game was scoreless until the shootout, and that itself took eleven rounds to decide. Slovan's Ziga Jeglic scored twice, while Neftekhimkik's Marek Kvapil recorded their only tally in a 1-0 Slovan win. The three stars went to Brust (27 save shutout), Jeglic, and Sudnitsin (40 save "shutout").
Finally, Dinamo Riga hosts Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. Ilya Proskuryakov and Joacim Eriksson are the solid goalies. Nizhny Novgorod started in the first period on an Alexander Frolov goal, helped along by Kirill Koltsov and Dmitry Semin. Torpedo added on with an Artyom Alyayev goal, with helpers from Kaspars Daugavins and Semin. Nizhny Novgorod extended the lead in the third period as Maxim Osipov scored, with the help of Roman Konkov and Linus Videll. Riga got on the board with a Gunars Skvorcovs goal, made possible by Guntis Galvins and Gints Meija. Torpedo iced it at 4-1 with a Semin empty net goal, set up by Daugavins. The three stars went to Semin, Daugavins, and Proskuryakov (28 for 29 in saves).
