Mark McKenzie of Philadelphia received a yellow card for his twenty-first minute foul. The Union's Blake took a yellow card for a fifty-seventh minute foul, leading to Atlanta denting the scoreboard with a Josef Martinez penalty kick goal in the fifty-eighth minute. Atlanta added on with a Hector Villalba goal in the seventy-sixth minute, made possible by Miguel Almiron and Martinez. This stood for a 2-0 win, with the man of the match being Martinez.
Up in Canada, the Montreal Impact welcome the Colorado Rapids. Tim Howard and Evan Bush start in goal. Montreal got going in the fifty-fifth minute with a Saphir Taider goal, passed from Alejandro Silva. The Impact added on in the fifty-sixth minute with a Taider goal, assisted by Ignacio Piatti and Silva. Colorado got on the board in the seventy-eighth minute with a Dominique Badji goal. The Rapids saw a yellow card for a Danny Wilson foul in stoppage time. The final remained at 2-1, with the man of the match being Taider.
Back stateside, the New England Revolution bring in the Seattle Sounders FC. Stefan Frei and Matt Turner are the gloved men. In the midwest, Sporting Kansas City hosts Toronto FC. Alexander Bono and Tim Melia are the reliable keepers. In California, the Los Angeles Galaxy host the Columbus Crew SC. Zack Steffen and David Bingham are the goalies. Jorgen Skjelvik of Los Angeles took a yellow card for a twenty-second minute foul. The Galaxy started in the forty-second minute with an Ola Kamara goal, via Ashley Cole and Jonathan dos Santos. Up in Vancouver, the Whitecaps FC welcome the Chicago Fire. Richard Sanchez and Brian Rowe guard the woodwork. Brandon Vincent of Chicago had a yellow card for a tenth minute foul. Vancouver struck first in the twenty-eighth minute with a Kei Kamara goal. Chicago tied it on a Nemanja Nikolic goal in the forty-second minute, via Kevin Ellis. The Whitecaps retook the lead in the forty-seventh minute with a Jordon Mutch goal, passed from Efrain Juarez. Aleksandar Katai of the Fire had a yellow card for a sixty-seventh minute foul. Vancouver added on in the seventy-second minute with a Kamara goal, guided in by Alphonso Davies and Marcel de Jong. The Fire replied with a Tony Tchani goal in the eighty-first minute, fueled by Ellis and Jonathan Campbell. The final stayed at 3-2, with the man of the match being Kamara.
Backtracking to Portland, the Timbers bring in the San Jose Earthquakes. Andrew Tarbell and Jeff Attinella make the starts in goal. Los Angeles added on in the thirty-second minute on a Latif Blessing goal, helped along by Aaron Kovar and Kaye. Orlando City got on the board in the fifty-ninth minute with a Sacha Kljestan goal, made possible by Donny Toia. Orlando City saw yellow cards for fouls by RJ Allen in the sixty-first minute and Oriol Rosell in the eighty-first minute. Los Angeles replied with a Diomande goal in the eighty-second minute. Los Angeles extended the lead as Diego Rossi scored in the eighty-fourth minute, thanks to Blessing. Laurent Ciman of Los Angeles had a yellow card for a foul in stoppage time. The final stood at 4-1, with the man of the match being Diomande.
On Sunday, New York City FC hosts the New York Red Bulls. Luis Robles and Sean Johnson are the keepers. Maxime Chanot of New York City had a yellow card for his sixty-seventh minute foul.
