In the 37th minute, Felipe Gutierrez of Kansas City and Nani of the Lions each received yellow cards for fouls. Akindele of Orlando City picked up a yellow card for a 49th minute foul. Luis Martins of Sporting had a yellow card for his 90th minute foul. The final was 1-0, with Akindele as the man of the match.
Way up north, Minnesota United FC welcomes the Colorado Rapids. Clint Irwin and Vito Mannone draw the starts in goal. Minnesota led off in the 39th minute with a Darwin Quintero goal, assisted by Kevin Molino. Colorado had a yellow card for a 45th minute foul by Kellyn Acosta. The Loons saw yellow cards for a Chase Gasper foul in the 60th minute and dangerous play by Michael Boxall in the 83rd minute. The final remained at 1-0, with Quintero as the man of the match.
Southwest to Utah, as Real Salt Lake hosts the Seattle Sounders FC. Stefan Frei and Nick Rimando are the gloved men. Salt Lake opened in the 25th minute with a Sam Johnson goal, via Aaron Herrera. Everton Luiz of Real took a yellow card for a 52nd minute foul. Joevin Jones of Seattle received a yellow card for his 70th minute foul. Salt Lake added on in the 71st minute with an Albert Rusnak goal, passed from Damir Kreilach and Corey Baird. Real extended the lead as Baird scored, thanks to Kreilach, in the 87th minute. The final was 3-0, with the man of the match being Kreilach.
Out in California, the Los Angeles Galaxy bring in FC Dallas. Jesse Gonzalez and David Bingham are in the six-yard boxes. Los Angeles got going in the 68th minute with a Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal, assisted by Jorgen Skjelvik and Cristian Pavon. The Galaxy added on in the 82nd minute with an Ibrahimovic penalty kick goal. Rolf Feltscher of Los Angeles had a yellow card for a 90th minute foul. In stoppage time, Bryan Acosta of Dallas received a yellow card for a foul. The final was 2-0, with Ibrahimovic selected as the man of the match.
Finally, the Portland Timbers host the Chicago Fire. David Ousted and Steve Clark are the veterans in goal. Portland started in the 11th minute with a Jorge Moreira goal. The Timbers added on in the 21st minute with a Brian Fernandez goal, via Cristhian Paredes and Moreira. Marvin Loria of Portland took a yellow card for his 27th minute foul. Chicago went down to ten men in the 30th minute when Aleksandar Katai had a straight red card for his foul. The Fire got on the board in the 74th minute with a Nemanja Nikolic goal. Francisco Calvo of Chicago had a yellow card for his 79th minute foul. The Timbers' Jeremy Ebobisse was given a yellow card for an 81st minute foul. Portland responded with an 88th minute Fernandez goal, made possible by Tomas Conechny and Diego Valeri. The Fire pulled one back in stoppage time on a C.J. Sapong goal, courtesy of Przemyslaw Frankowski. This only made it 3-2, the final, with Fernandez as the man of the match.
