New York City FC hosting Toronto FC on Tuesday. Quentin Westberg and Sean Johnson man the nets. Toronto's Laurent Ciman took a yellow card for a 21st minute foul. Alexandru Mitrita of New York City saw a yellow card for a 30th minute foul. The Reds got going in the 47th minute with an Alejandro Pozuelo goal. The Pigeons retied it on a 69th minute goal by Ismael Tajouri-Shradi, set up by Maximiliano Moralez. Michael Bradley of Toronto had a yellow card for a foul in the 77th minute. The Reds pulled ahead in the 90th minute with a Pozuelo penalty kick goal. This made it 2-1, the final, with the man of the match being Pozuelo.
Out in Seattle, the Sounders FC welcome Real Salt Lake. Nick Rimando and Stefan Frei tend the twines. Nedum Onuoha of Salt Lake had a yellow card for a 28th minute foul. Seattle dented the scoreboard in the 64th minute with a Gustav Svensson goal, set up by Nicolas Lodeiro. The Sounders added on with a Lodeiro goal in the 81st minute, coming off of Raul Ruidiaz and Brad Smith. Lodeiro also took a delay of game yellow card during his celebration. Real went down to ten men in the 83rd minute when Everton Luiz received a straight red card for his foul. The final held at 2-0, with the man of the match honors given to Svensson.
On Wednesday, Atlanta United FC brings in the Philadelphia Union. Andre Blake and Brad Guzan patrol the penalty areas. Atlanta started in the 10th minute with a Julian Gressel goal, via Gonzalo Martinez. Alejandro Bedoya of Philadelphia received a yellow card for a 34th minute foul. The Five Stripes' Gressel had a yellow card for persistent infringement in the 38th minute. Kai Wagner of the Union took a yellow card for his 74th minute foul. Atlanta added on with a Josef Martinez goal, assisted by Gressel. Franco Escobar of the Five Stripes picked up a yellow card for an 87th minute foul. Atlanta won 2-0, with Gressel as the man of the match.
Finally, Los Angeles FC host the Los Angeles Galaxy. David Bingham and Tyler Miller are the gloved men. LAFC opened in the 16th minute with a Carlos Vela goal, via Diego Rossi and Lee Nguyen. Perry Kitchen of the Galaxy took a yellow card for a 27th minute foul. LAFC added on in the 40th minute with another Vela goal, helped along by Brian Rodriguez and Latif Blessing. The Galaxy got on the board in the 41st minute with a Cristian Pavon goal, passed from Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Galaxy tied it in the 55th minute with an Ibrahimovic goal. LAFC regained the lead with a 66th minute Rossi goal, courtesy of Vela and Nguyen. LAFC extended the lead as Adama Diomande scored in the 68th minute, thanks to Rossi and Nguyen. The Galaxy pulled one back with a Rolf Feltscher goal, set up by Romain Alessandrini. LAFC responded on a Diomande goal in the 80th minute, fueled by Eddie Segura. The Galaxy saw yellow cards for dissent in the 86th minute by Ibrahimovic and a foul by Alessandrini in the 89th minute. The final was 5-3, with Vela earning man of the match honors.
