We've reached double-digit days in the new NHL season, with three games to play tonight. First up...

The Buffalo Sabres host the Florida Panthers. Sergei Bobrovsky and Linus Ullmark are in goal. Buffalo dented the scoreboard in the second period with a Johan Larsson goal, via Kyle Okposo and Zemgus Girgensons. Florida got on the board with an Evgenii Dadonov goal, his second of the season, assisted by Jonathan Huberdeau and Denis Malgin. The Panthers tied it on a Mike Hoffman goal, his fifth of the year, coming off of Dadonov and Vincent Trocheck. The tie went to a shootout, where Jack Eichel and Casey Mittelstadt produced the tallies for the Sabres to secure a 3-2 win. The three stars were Okposo, Girgensons, and Dadonov.

Over in Columbus, the Blue Jackets welcome the Anaheim Ducks. Ryan Miller and Joonas Korpisalo make the starts. Anaheim got going in the second period with a shorthanded Jakob Silfverberg goal, his second of the season, set up by Rickard Rakell and Hampus Lindholm. The Ducks added on with a Cam Fowler goal, his second of the year, passed from Ondrej Kase and Jacob Larsson. Columbus got on the board with a Pierre-Luc Dubois goal, assisted by Seth Jones. The final stood at 2-1, with the three stars being Miller (26 for 27 in saves), Fowler, and Silfverberg.

Finally, the Carolina Hurricanes bring in the New York Islanders. Thomas Greiss and Petr Mrazek are in the blue paint. Carolina led off in the first period with a Teuvo Teravainen goal, his second of the season, courtesy of Dougie Hamilton and Nino Niederreiter. New York tied it with a Brock Nelson power play goal, his second of the year, powered by Josh Bailey and Jordan Eberle.
