The Toronto Maple Leafs hosting the St. Louis Blues. Jordan Binnington and Frederik Andersen protect the nets. St. Louis got going in the second period with an Oskar Sundqvist goal, courtesy of Ivan Barbashev and the goalie Binnington. Toronto tied it on a Frederik Gauthier goal, his second of the season, made possible by Jason Spezza and Nic Petan. The Maple Leafs took the lead with a William Nylander goal, his second of the year, coming off of Cody Ceci and Andreas Johnsson. The Blues retied it on a Brayden Schenn goal, his second of the season, assisted by Jaden Schwartz and Vladimir Tarasenko. St. Louis took the lead in the third period with an Alex Pietrangelo goal, his second of the year, passed from David Perron and Sammy Blais. This stood for a 3-2 win, with the three stars being Pietrangelo, Schenn, and Binnington (32 for 34 in saves).
In Columbus, the Blue Jackets host the Buffalo Sabres. Linus Ullmark and Joonas Korpisalo get the starting nods in goal. Columbus struck first in the first period with an Oliver Bjorkstrand goal, guided in by Seth Jones and Zach Werenski. The Blue Jackets added on with a Cam Atkinson power play goal, his second of the season, powered by Alexander Wennberg and Pierre-Luc Dubois. Buffalo got on the board in the second period with a Marcus Johansson power play goal, with assists provided by Colin Miller and Conor Sheary. The Sabres tied it on an unassisted Jeff Skinner goal, his second of the year. Columbus regained the lead with a Nick Foligno power play goal, assisted by Emil Bemstrom and Bjorkstrand. Buffalo retied it on a Victor Olofsson power play goal, his third of the campaign, fueled by Rasmus Dahlin and Sam Reinhart. The Blue Jackets won 4-3 in overtime with an Alexandre Texier goal, via Foligno. The three stars went to Foligno, Texier, and Bjorkstrand.
