The season is on the line for the Carolina Hurricanes as they visit the Florida Panthers. Frederik Andersen and Sergei Bobrovsky man the nets. Florida began in the first period with an Anthony Duclair goal, his third of the postseason, via Aleksander Barkov and Carter Verhaeghe. The Panthers added on with a Matthew Tkachuk power play goal, his eighth of the playoffs, powered by Aaron Ekblad and Gustav Forsling. Carolina got on the board with a Paul Stastny goal, his fourth of the postseason, fueled by Brady Skjei and Jordan Martinook. The Hurricanes tied it in the second period with a Teuvo Teravainen goal, guided in by Skjei and Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Florida gained the lead back with a Ryan Lomberg goal, coming off of Colin White and Eric Staal. Carolina tied it on a Jesper Fast goal in the third period, his sixth of the playoffs, courtesy of Martinook and Jalen Chatfield. The Panthers regained the lead on a Tkachuk power play goal, his second of the game and ninth of the postseason, passed from Barkov and Sam Reinhart. This made it 4-3, the final, with the three stars going to Tkachuk, Barkov, and Martinook, while Skjei gets an honorable mention. The Panthers swept the series 4-0 to earn a spot in the Stanley Cup Finals.
