Vegas began in the first period with an Ivan Barbashev goal, his sixth of the postseason, via Jack Eichel and Jonathan Marchessault. Dallas tied it on a Luke Glendening goal, his second of the playoffs, coming off of Thomas Harley. The Golden Knights retook the lead in the second period with a Chandler Stephenson goal, his eighth of the postseason, passed from Shea Theodore and Marchessault. The Stars retied it on a Jason Robertson goal, his seventh of the playoffs, helped along by Ryan Suter and Joe Pavelski. Dallas gained the lead in the third period with a Ty Dellandrea goal, his second of the postseason, fueled by Joel Kiviranta and Harley. The Stars added on with a Dellandrea goal, his second of the game and third of the playoffs, guided in by Max Domi.
