NHL 2023-24 - Day 90

There's just two games this Friday. First up...

The Dallas Stars host the Nashville Predators. Kevin Lankinen and Jake Oettinger are the goalies. Nashville got going in the second period with an unassisted Jeremy Lauzon goal, his fourth of the season. The Predators added on with a Tommy Novak goal, his seventh of the year, courtesy of Denis Gurianov and Roman Josi. Dallas got on the board in the third period with a Jani Hakanpaa goal, his second of the season, fueled by Matt Duchene and Tyler Seguin. Nashville replied with a Ryan O'Reilly goal, his sixteenth of the year, guided in by Filip Forsberg. The Stars answered with a Wyatt Johnston goal, his eleventh of the season, passed from Nils Lundkvist and Thomas Harley. The Predators fired back with a power play goal by Forsberg, his twenty-second of the year, powered by Josi and O'Reilly. Dallas countered on a Duchene power play goal, his thirteenth of the season, with assists provided by Jason Robertson and Joe Pavelski. Nashville responded with an empty net goal by Gustav Nyquist, his eleventh of the year, set up by Josi and O'Reilly. The Predators finished it at 6-3 with an empty net goal by Juuso Parssinen, his seventh of the campaign, going in unassisted. The three stars were O'Reilly, Josi, and Forsberg, while Duchene gets an honorable mention.

Up in Minnesota, the Wild host the Philadelphia Flyers. Carter Hart and Marc-Andre Fleury are between the pipes. Minnesota dented the scoreboard in the second period with a Marcus Johansson goal, his sixth of the season, courtesy of Joel Eriksson Ek. Philadelphia tied it on a Joel Farabee goal, his thirteenth of the year, coming off of Travis Konecny and Sean Couturier. The Wild took the lead back in the third period with a Ryan Hartman goal, his thirteenth of the season, passed from Alex Goligoski and Zach Bogosian. Minnesota added on with a Matt Boldy goal, his fifteenth of the year, assisted by Jake Middleton and Hartman. The Flyers got one back with a Tyson Foerster goal, his sixth of the season, helped along by Scott Laughton and Sean Walker. Philadelphia tied it on an Owen Tippett goal, his fifteenth of the year, guided in by Konecny and Jamie Drysdale. The Flyers won 4-3 in overtime with a Farabee power play goal, his second of the game and fourteenth of the campaign, powered by Egor Zamula and Tippett. The three stars were Farabee, Tippett, and Konecny, while Hartman gets an honorable mention.
