Bratislava tied it in the second period with a power play goal by Michal Vondrka, powered by Michel Miklik and Jonathan Sigalet. CSKA took the lead in the third period on a Vladimir Zharkov goal, fueled by Patrick Davis and Janis Sprukts. Moscow padded the lead on a Mikhail Grabovsky goal, set up by Datsyuk. CSKA won 4-1 when Yakov Rylov scored, and Davis and Zharkov recorded the assists. The three stars went to Zharkov, Datsyuk, and Davis.

Monday Night Football Week 13 2012
Tonight's game features the Washington Redskins hosting the New York Giants. New York opened in the first quarter with a Lawrence Tynes field goal of 39 yards. Washington took the lead as Robert Griffin III fumbled after a 13 yard run, but Joshua Morgan recovered it and ran 15 more yards for a touchdown, and Kai Forbath made the extra point. The Giants took the lead back as Eli Manning passed 4 yards for a touchdown to Martellus Bennett for a touchdown, and Tynes knocked in the extra point. The Redskins tied it on a 33 yard Forbath field goal. New York retook the lead as Tynes made a 40 yard field goal. The Giants added on in the third quarter with a Tynes field goal of 35 yards. Washington took the lead in the fourth quarter with a Griffin touchdown pass of 8 yards to Pierre Garcon, and Forbath had the go-ahead PAT. This was good for a 17-16 win, and the Redskins improve to 6-6 while the Giants drop to 7-5.

Astana started in the first period as Dustin Boyd scored, thanks to Alexei Litvinenko and Mikhail Rakhmanov. Chekhov tied it with an Andrei Markov goal, fueled by Josh Hennessy. Vityaz took the lead on an Alexander Korolyuk unassisted goal. Barys tied it up again as Maxim Spiridonov scored, with the help of Brandon Bochenski and Nikolai Antropov. Chekhov took the lead again as Artemy Panarin scored a power play goal, powered by Markov and Pavel Chernov. Vityaz extended the lead in the second period on a Yakov Seleznyov goal, passed from Evgeny Timkin on the power play. Astana shot back with a power play goal from Bochenski, made possible by Vitaly Novopashin and Antropov. Chekhov padded the lead in the third period when Timkin scored a goal with a lone assist coming from Georgy Belousov. NFL Afternoon/Night Games Week 13 2012
Five games on for the late post. First up...
The Denver Broncos host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Denver started in the first quarter as Peyton Manning passed 1 yard to Mitch Unrein for a touchdown, and Matt Prater was there with the extra point. Tampa Bay got on the board as Connor Barth made a 31 yard field goal. The Buccaneers took the lead on a Josh Freeman touchdown pass to Dallas Clark, good for 11 yards, allowing Barth the extra point. The Broncos took the lead in the third quarter as Manning found Demaryius Thomas for 8 yards and a touchdown, and Prater supplied the PAT. Denver padded the lead as Manning hooked up with Thomas for a 10 yard touchdown, and Prater again kicked the extra point. The Broncos kept going as Von Miller picked off Freeman and returned the ball 26 yards for a touchdown, and Prater again was true on the extra point. Tampa Bay got some back in the fourth quarter as Barth made a 50 yard field goal. Denver answered with a 31 yard Prater field goal. The Buccaneers chipped away as Barth was good with a whopping 55 yard yard field goal. Tampa Bay pulled closer as Freeman found Mike Williams for 5 yards and a touchdown, and Barth supplied the extra point. They got no closer, losing 31-23, with Denver now at 9-3 and Tampa Bay dropping to 6-6.
Southwest to San Diego, as the Chargers welcome the Cincinnati Bengals. Cincinnati began in the first quarter as Andy Dalton passed 19 yards for a touchdown to Jermaine Gresham, and Mike Nugent made the extra point. San Diego got on the board as Nick Novak booted a 20 yard field goal in the second quarter. The Chargers took the lead when Demorrio Williams intercepted Dalton and took the ball in 31 yards for a touchdown, and Novak was there with the PAT. The Bengals tied it up on a Nugent 19 yard field goal. San Diego took the lead back as Novak made a field goal from just 19 yards away. Cincinnati gained the lead as Dalton ran 6 yards for a touchdown, and Nugent booted the extra point. The Bengals padded the lead with a Nugent field goal from 24 yards out. This produced the 20-13 final, with Cincinnati going to 7-5 while San Diego fell to 4-8.
Up in Oakland, the Raiders host the Cleveland Browns. Cleveland led off in the second quarter as Phil Dawson made a 41 yard field goal. The Browns padded the lead as Brandon Weeden passed 44 yards to Josh Gordon for a touchdown, and Dawson knocked in the extra point. Oakland got on the board when Sebastian Janikowski made a 51 yard field goal. Cleveland answered in the third quarter as Dawson made a 35 yard field goal. The Raiders pulled back on a Carson Palmer 64 yard touchdown pass to Rod Streater, and Janikowski booted the PAT. The Browns extended the lead as Trent Richardson ran 3 yards for a touchdown, and Dawson made the extra point. Oakland tried a late comeback with Palmer firing a 17 yard touchdown to Brandon Myers, and Janikowski's extra point put them in range, but they still lost 20-17. Cleveland moves up to 4-8 and Oakland drops to 3-9.
Back east, the Baltimore Ravens bring in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pittsburgh opened with a first quarter 46 yard field goal from Shaun Suisham. Baltimore tied it in the second quarter when Justin Tucker nailed a 45 yard field goal. The Ravens took the lead as Tucker made a 23 yard field goal. Baltimore extended the lead as Joe Flacco passed 28 yards to Anquan Boldin for a touchdown, and Tucker was true with the extra point. The Steelers shot back as Suisham kicked in a 41 yard field goal. Pittsburgh tied it in the third quarter as Jonathan Dwyer ran 16 yards for a touchdown, and Suisham knocked in the extra point. The Ravens took the lead again on a Ray Rice 34 yard touchdown rush, and Tucker was good with the extra point. The Steelers evened the score in the fourth quarter when Charlie Batch found Heath Miller for 7 yards and a touchdown, and Suisham blasted the PAT. Pittsburgh won 23-20 on a last-second Suisham 42 yard field goal. Pittsburgh is now 7-5 and Baltimore drops to 9-3.
Finally, we end down in Dallas, as the Cowboys host the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia got going in the first quarter as Bryce Brown ran 10 yards for a touchdown, and Alex Henery booted the extra point. The Eagles padded the lead with another Brown touchdown run of 5 yards, and Henery was true with the extra point. The Cowboys evened the score again as Romo passed 27 yards to Miles Austin for a touchdown in the fourth quarter, and Bailey again had the tying extra point. Philadelphia got the lead back on a Henery field goal of 43 yards. Dallas pulled ahead as Romo connected with Bryant for 6 yards and a touchdown, and Bailey supplied the extra point. The Cowboys extended the lead as Morris Claiborne picked a Brown fumble and took it back to the house 50 yards for a touchdown, and Bailey knocked in the extra point. The Eagles answered late as Damaris Johnson returned a punt 98 yards for a touchdown, but the two-point attempt was failed. They failed to complete the comeback, dropping a 38-33 final, with the Cowboys now at 6-6 and the Eagles at 3-9.

Bratislava opened in the first period with a power play goal off the tape of Vladimir Dravecky, with a lone assist by Lubomir Visnovsky. Novokuznetsk tied it with a goal by Denis Yezhov, passed from Anton Lazarev. Slovan took the lead in the second period on an unassisted Andrej Sekera power play goal. Metallurg tied it again with a power play goal by Dmitry Kagarlitsky, powered by Alexander Bumagin and Randy Robitaille. Novokuznetsk took the lead in the third period on another Kagarlitsky goal, with assists provided by Bumagin and Dmitry Megalinsky. This held up for a 3-2 win, with the three stars being Kagarlitsky, Lazushin (30 for 32 in saves), and Bumagin.
Well to the west, Atlant Mytishchi hosts Ak Bars Kazan. Konstantin Barulin of Ak Bars and Anton Khudobin of Atlant tend the twines. Mytishchi started with a first period goal by Nikolai Zherdev, coming off of the goalie Khudobin and Sandis Ozolins. Kazan tied it with a Danis Zaripov goal, courtesy of Niko Kapanen. Ak Bars took the lead on a power play goal by Ilya Nikulin, powered by Zaripov and Kapanen. Kazan extended the lead with another power play goal, this time scored by Jarkko Immonen and set up by Nikulin and Alexei Morozov. Atlant got one back in the third period when Andreas Engqvist scored an unassisted goal. They failed to tie the game, falling 3-2, with the three stars going to Nikulin, Zaripov,and Kapanen.
Northeast a tad to Nizhny Novgorod, where Torpedo hosts Salavat Yulaev Ufa. Iiro Tarkki for Salavat Yulaev and Vitaly Koval for Torpedo guard the cages. Nizhny Novgorod was first on the board with a second period power play goal by Matt Ellison, made possible by Alexei Vasilyev and Juuso Hietanen. Ufa tied it on a power play goal by Tomas Rolinek, assisted by Vitaly Atyushov and Denis Khlystov. Salavat Yulaev took the lead when Alexei Glukhov scored a goal in the third period, thanks to Igor Musatov and Oleg Saprykin. Ufa padded the lead with a power play goal by Igor Mirnov, powered by Kirill Koltsov and Alexei Kaigorodov. This held up as a 3-1 win, with the three stars belonging to Tarkki (29 for 30 in saves), Glukhov, and Mirnov.
Finally, we end the day in Yaroslavl, as Lokomotiv welcomes Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. Maxim Sokolov for Neftekhimik and Curtis Sanford for Lokomotiv have the green light to start. Yaroslavl got going in the first period on an Artyom Anisimov goal, coming shorthanded via Vitaly Vishnevsky. Lokomotiv extended the lead in the third period on a power play goal by Staffan Kronwall, powered by Sergei Plotnikov and Emil Galimov. Nizhnekamsk got on the board as Oskar Osala scored, thanks to Martin Cibak and Renat Mamashev. Yaroslavl replied with a Plotnikov goal, made possible by Anisimov and Galimov. This produced the 3-1 final score, with the three stars being Plotnikov, Anisimov, and Galimov, while Sanford (23 for 24 in saves) gets the honorable mention.
