Moscow got going in the second period with an Alexander Radulov goal, assisted by Jan Mursak and Igor Ozhiganov. St. Petersburg tied it on a Joakim Lindstrom goal, fueled by Dmitry Yudin. CSKA retook the lead as Nikita Zaitsev scored a power play goal, thanks to Geoff Platt. SKA retied it on a Maxim Chudinov goal, coming off of Anton Belov and Vadim Shipachyov on the power play.
