2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs - Round 2 Day 14
The last day of the second round is here, with the San Jose Sharks hosting the Colorado Avalanche. Philipp Grubauer and Martin Jones are the goalies. San Jose drew first blood in the first period with a Joe Pavelski goal, his third of the postseason, via Brent Burns and Tomas Hertl. The Sharks added on with a Hertl goal, his ninth of the playoffs, courtesy of Pavelski and Evander Kane. Colorado got on the board with a Mikko Rantanen goal, his sixth of the postseason, assisted by Samuel Girard and Gabriel Landeskog. San Jose replied with a Joonas Donskoi goal, coming off of Burns and Melker Karlsson. The Avalanche got one back in the third period with a Tyson Jost goal, his third of the playoffs, guided in by Colin Wilson and Alexander Kerfoot. This only made it 3-2, the final, with the three stars being Hertl, Pavelski, and Burns. The Sharks won the series 4-3 and will face the St. Louis Blues in the Western Conference finals.

2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs - Round 2 Day 13
Just one game tonight, as the St. Louis Blues host the Dallas Stars in a Game 7. Ben Bishop and Jordan Binnington draw the starts in goal. St. Louis led off in the first period with a Vince Dunn goal, passed from Alex Pietrangelo and Robert Thomas. Dallas tied it on a Mats Zuccarello goal, his fourth of the postseason, going in unassisted. The Blues won 2-1 in double overtime with a Pat Maroon goal, his third of the playoffs, guided in by Thomas and Tyler Bozak. The three stars were Thomas, Maroon, and Bishop (52 for 54 in saves). The Blues won the series 4-3 and advance to the Western Conference finals.

Boston extended the lead as David Backes scored, thanks to Torey Krug and Krejci. This made it 3-0, the final, with the three stars going to Rask (39 save shutout), Krejci, and Johansson. The Bruins won the series 4-2 and will meet the Carolina Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference finals.

San Jose retied it with a Vlasic goal, his second of the game and third of the playoffs, fueled by Logan Couture and Nyquist. The Avalanche won 4-3 in overtime with a Gabriel Landeskog goal, his third of the postseason, made possible by Cale Makar. The three stars went to Compher, Landeskog, and Vlasic, while Nyquist gets an honorable mention. The series heads back to San Jose one more time, tied at 3 games apiece.

A full week of games begins on Friday in...
Colorado, as the Rapids host the Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Maxime Crepeau and Tim Howard are the goalies. Vancouver began in the 16th minute with a Fredy Montero goal, set up by Lass. The Whitecaps added on in the 26th minute with a Lucas Venuto goal, courtesy of Montero and Doneil Henry. Colorado got one back with a 38th minute penalty kick goal by Kei Kamara. The Rapids tied it on a Kamara penalty kick goal in the 53rd minute for his second of the night. Colorado went down to ten men in the 77th minute with a red card to Diego Rubio for violent conduct. Vancouver regained the lead in the 87th minute with an Andy Rose goal. The Rapids' Kellyn Acosta took a yellow card for a foul in the 89th minute. The final was 3-2, with Montero named man of the match.
On Saturday, the New York Red Bulls welcome the Los Angeles Galaxy. David Bingham and Luis Robles man the nets. New York led off in the 15th minute with an Amro Tarek goal.
