There's 12 games on this Tuesday. First up...

The Sabres added on with a Victor Olofsson goal, his thirteenth of the year, guided in by Rasmus Asplund and Tyson Jost. Buffalo extended the lead as J.J. The Lightning added on in the second period with an Erik Cernak goal, via Brayden Point and Kucherov. Seattle got on the board with a Jared McCann goal, his thirteenth of the year, passed from Jordan Eberle. Tampa Bay replied in the second period with a Corey Perry power play goal, his fifth of the season, powered by Ross Colton and Mikhail Sergachev. The Lightning extended the lead as Point scored his fifteenth of the year, thanks to Kucherov and Victor Hedman. Martin Jones replaced Grubauer in goal. Along to Detroit, as the Red Wings host the Carolina Hurricanes. Pyotr Kochetkov and Ville Husso protect the nets. Carolina struck first in the first period with a Brady Skjei power play goal, his fifth of the season, powered by Seth Jarvis and Jesperi Kotkaniemi. Down in Nashville, the Predators welcome the Edmonton Oilers. Jack Campbell and Kevin Lankinen are the goalies. Vegas tied it on a Daniil Miromanov goal, coming off of Reilly Smith and William Karlsson. The Golden Knights took the lead on a Mark Stone goal, his eleventh of the year, passed from Nicolas Hague and Chandler Stephenson. The Jets tied it on a Morgan Barron goal in the second period, his third of the season, fueled by Dylan Samberg and Jansen Harkins. Compher and Logan O'Connor. The Avalanche took the lead with an Artturi Lehkonen shorthanded goal, his eighth of the year, set up by Erik Johnson. Colorado added on in the third period with a Compher goal, his fourth of the season, guided in by Lehkonen. The Flyers got one back with a James van Riemsdyk goal, his fourth of the year, passed from Travis Konecny and Kevin Hayes. This only made it 3-2, the final, with the three stars being Compher, Lehkonen, and Toews.

Finally, the San Jose Sharks bring in the Arizona Coyotes. Karel Vejmelka and James Reimer are the masked men. San Jose began in the first period with a Tomas Hertl goal, his tenth of the season, assisted by Radim Simek and Scott Harrington. The Sharks added on with a Nick Bonino goal, his fourth of the year, via Erik Karlsson and Jonah Gadjovich. Arizona got on the board with a power play goal by Lawson Crouse, his thirteenth of the season, powered by Clayton Keller and Shayne Gostisbehere. San Jose shot back with a Nico Sturm goal, his eighth of the year, coming off of Bonino and Harrington. The Coyotes got one back in the third period with a Nick Bjugstad goal, his sixth of the season, helped along by Patrik Nemeth and Matias Maccelli. NHL 2022-23 - Day 63

There's six games on Monday, beginning with...

The Montreal Canadiens hosting the Calgary Flames. Jacob Markstrom and Jake Allen man the nets. Calgary got going in the second period with a Jonathan Huberdeau power play goal, his fifth of the season, powered by Mikael Backlund and Tyler Toffoli. Montreal tied it in the third period with a Josh Anderson goal, his eighth of the year, courtesy of Juraj Slafkovsky and Jordan Harris. The tie went to a shootout, where Huberdeau and the Flames were bested by Nick Suzuki, Kirby Dach and the Canadiens. The three stars of the 2-1 game were Allen (34 for 35 in saves), Markstrom (37 for 38 in saves), and Anderson.

Down in Pittsburgh, the Penguins welcome the Dallas Stars. Jake Oettinger and Tristan Jarry guard the cages. Dallas began in the first period with a Roope Hintz goal, his twelfth of the season, made possible by Nils Lundkvist. Pittsburgh tied it on a Pierre-Olivier Joseph power play goal, powered by Kasperi Kapanen and Jason Zucker. The Penguins took the lead in the third period with an Evgeni Malkin goal, his ninth of the year, guided in by Bryan Rust and Zucker. This stood for a 2-1 win, with the three stars being Malkin, Zucker, and Jarry (26 for 27 in saves).

Over in New York, the Rangers bring in the New Jersey Devils. Vitek Vanecek and Igor Shesterkin protect the nets. New Jersey led off in the first period with a Jonas Siegenthaler goal, his second of the season, via Nico Hischier. The Devils added on with a Dawson Mercer goal, his eighth of the year, helped along by Jack Hughes. The Rangers got one back with a Trocheck power play goal, his tenth of the season, powered by Adam Fox and Mika Zibanejad. New York tied it on a Kaapo Kakko goal, his sixth of the year, coming off of K'Andre Miller and Filip Chytil. The Rangers won 4-3 in overtime with a Chytil goal, his sixth of the campaign, with helpers from Artemi Panarin and Miller. The three stars went to Chytil, Trocheck, and Mercer, while Miller gets an honorable mention.

The Senators added on with an Alex DeBrincat power play goal, his eighth of the season, powered by Claude Giroux and Thomas Chabot. Ottawa extended the lead in the third period as DeBrincat scored his second of the game and ninth of the year on the power play, thanks to Drake Batherson and Giroux. The final was 3-0 and the three stars were Talbot (32 save shutout), DeBrincat, and Giroux.

Stateside to St. Louis, where the Blues welcome the Nashville Predators. Juuse Saros and Jordan Binnington are between the pipes. St. Louis won 1-0 in overtime with a Brayden Schenn goal, his seventh of the season, fueled by Jordan Kyrou and Torey Krug. The three stars were awarded to Binnington (25 save shutout), Schenn, and Saros (23 for 24 in saves).

Finally, the Minnesota Wild bring in the Edmonton Oilers. Stuart Skinner and Marc-Andre Fleury draw the starts in goal. Minnesota started in the first period with a Matt Boldy power play goal, his eleventh of the season, powered by Kirill Kaprizov and Mats Zuccarello. Edmonton tied it on a Zach Hyman power play goal, his tenth of the year, with assists provided by Tyson Barrie and Connor McDavid. The Wild retook the lead in the second period with a Frederick Gaudreau goal, his fifth of the campaign, passed from Boldy. This stood for the eventual 2-1 final score, with the three stars given to Boldy, Fleury (20 for 21 in saves), and Gaudreau.

The St. Louis Blues hosting the Colorado Avalanche. Pavel Francouz and Jordan Binnington are the goalies. Colorado got going in the second period with a Mikko Rantanen goal, his seventeenth of the season, fueled by Alex Newhook and Brad Hunt. St. Louis tied it in the third period with a Vladimir Tarasenko power play goal, his eighth of the year, powered by Ryan O'Reilly and Robert Thomas. The Blues took the lead with a shorthanded and unassisted Brandon Saad goal, his sixth of the season. The Avalanche retied it on another Rantanen goal, his second of the game and eighteenth of the year, courtesy of J.T. Compher and Devon Toews. Colorado won 3-2 in overtime with a Rantanen goal to complete his hat trick on his nineteenth of the campaign, passed from Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin. The three stars were Rantanen, Francouz (30 for 32 in saves), and Saad. 

Southeast to Florida, as the Panthers welcome the Seattle Kraken. Martin Jones and Sergei Bobrovsky man the nets. Florida tied it in the second period with an Eric Staal goal, assisted by Colin White and Nick Cousins. The Kraken took the lead with an Andre Burakovsky goal, his tenth of the year, fueled by Yanni Gourde and Oliver Bjorkstrand. Seattle added on in the third period with a Jordan Eberle goal, his seventh of the season, guided in by Will Borgen and Beniers. The Kraken extended the lead on a Daniel Sprong power play goal, his sixth of the year, powered by Alexander Wennberg and Burakovsky. The Nashville Predators hosting the Ottawa Senators. Cam Talbot and Juuse Saros are the goalies. Nashville got going in the second period with a Yakov Trenin goal, his second of the season, assisted Mark Jankowski and Tanner Jeannot. Ottawa tied it on a Claude Giroux goal, his twelfth of the year, courtesy of Derick Brassard and Shane Pinto. The Senators took the lead with an Alex DeBrincat goal, his seventh of the season, coming off of Pinto and Drake Batherson in the third period. Ottawa added on with a Batherson power play goal, his seventh of the year, powered by Brady Tkachuk. The Predators got one back with a Nino Niederreiter goal, his tenth of the season, made possible by Roman Josi and Ryan Johansen. This only made it 3-2, the final, with the three stars going to Batherson, Pinto, and DeBrincat.

Along to Dallas, as the Stars welcome the Detroit Red Wings. Ville Husso and Jake Oettinger tend the twines. The Lightning extended the lead as Steven Stamkos scored his fifteenth of the year, thanks to Alex Killorn and Nick Paul. The final was 4-1, and the three stars were Vasilevskiy (24 for 25 in saves), Foote, and Point. 

Up in Montreal, the Canadiens bring in the Los Angeles Kings. Pheonix Copley and Jake Allen are in the blue paint. Los Angeles started in the first period with an Anze Kopitar goal, his eighth of the season, assisted by Kevin Fiala. The Kings added on with a Viktor Arvidsson goal, his eighth of the year, passed from Phillip Danault and Mikey Anderson. Los Angeles extended the lead in the third period as Alexander Edler scored, thanks to Blake Lizotte. Montreal got on the board with a Mike Hoffman goal, his sixth of the season, via Kaiden Guhle and Evgenii Dadonov. The Canadiens got closer with a Cole Caufield goal, his sixteenth of the year, with helpers from Jordan Harris and Christian Dvorak. The Kings iced it at 4-2 with an Adrian Kempe empty net goal, his ninth of the campaign, going in unassisted. The three stars were Edler, Arvidsson, and Kopitar. 

Stateside, the Pittsburgh Penguins welcome the Buffalo Sabres. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Casey DeSmith man the nets. Pittsburgh opened in the first period with a Rickard Rakell power play goal, his twelfth of the season, powered by Evgeni Malkin and Sidney Crosby. The Penguins added on with a Crosby goal, his sixteenth of the year, helped along by Jake Guentzel and Brian Dumoulin. Buffalo got on the board with a Peyton Krebs goal in the third period, his second of the season, coming off of Casey Fitzgerald and Zemgus Girgensons. North again to Toronto, as the Maple Leafs host the Calgary Flames. Dan Vladar and Matt Murray are the masked men. Toronto struck first in the first period with an Auston Matthews power play goal, his fifteenth of the season, powered by William Nylander and Rasmus Sandin. Calgary tied it on a Noah Hanifin goal, his second of the year, courtesy of Jonathan Huberdeau and Elias Lindholm. The Flames took the lead on a Nazem Kadri goal, his eleventh of the season, assisted by Dillon Dube and Andrew Mangiapane. The Maple Leafs tied it again with a Nylander power play goal, his sixteenth of the year, with assists provided by Sandin and Mitch Marner. Calgary gained the lead in second period with a Trevor Lewis goal, his fifth of the season, made possible by Mikael Backlund. Toronto tied it on a Nylander goal, his second of the game and seventeenth of the year, guided in by Matthews. The Flames took the lead again with a Hanifin power play goal, his second of the game and third of the season, with helpers from Adam Ruzicka and Mangiapane. The Maple Leafs tied it again with a Michael Bunting goal, his fifth of the year, fueled by Matthews and Nylander. Toronto won 5-4 in overtime with a Marner power play goal, his twelfth of the campaign, thanks to Nylander and John Tavares. In New York, the Islanders bring in the Carolina Hurricanes. Pyotr Kochetkov and Ilya Sorokin guard the cages. Carolina dented the scoreboard in the second period with a Paul Stastny goal, via Andrei Svechnikov and Brady Skjei. The Hurricanes added on in the third period with a Jesperi Kotkaniemi goal, his third of the season, assisted by Brent Burns and Teuvo Teravainen. Carolina iced it at 3-0 with a Jordan Staal goal, his seventh of the year, helped along by Jordan Martinook and Stefan Noesen. The three stars were Kochetkov (16 save shutout), Stastny, and Kotkaniemi. 

Finally, the Vancouver Canucks host the Minnesota Wild. Filip Gustavsson and Spencer Martin patrol the creases. Minnesota kicked off the scoring in the first period with a Matt Boldy power play goal, his tenth of the season, powered by Mats Zuccarello and Calen Addison. The Wild added on in the second period with a Connor Dewar shorthanded goal, his fourth of the year, going in unassisted. The Buffalo Sabres hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins. Tristan Jarry and Craig Anderson are in the creases. Pittsburgh got going in the second period with a Jake Guentzel power play goal, his thirteenth of the season, powered by Evgeni Malkin and Jeff Petry. Buffalo tied it on a Victor Olofsson goal, his twelfth of the year, coming off of Tyson Jost and Casey Mittelstadt. The Sabres took the lead with a Jeff Skinner goal, his thirteenth of the season, courtesy of Tage Thompson and Mittelstadt. The Penguins tied it in the third period with a Rickard Rakell goal, his eleventh of the year, guided in by Danton Heinen. Pittsburgh took the lead with a Brock McGinn goal, his eighth of the season, assisted by Kasperi Kapanen and Jan Rutta. The Capitals took the lead with a Marcus Johansson power play goal, his sixth of the season, powered by Sonny Milano and Alex Ovechkin. Washington added on in the third period with a Lars Eller empty net goal, his fifth of the year, set up by Mantha. The Capitals iced it at 4-1 with an Ovechkin empty net goal, his sixteenth of the campaign, with helpers from Evgeny Kuznetsov and John Carlson. Up in Edmonton, the Oilers host the Minnesota Wild. Marc-Andre Fleury and Stuart Skinner protect the nets. Finally, the Anaheim Ducks host the San Jose Sharks. Eetu Makiniemi is mismatched with John Gibson in goal. San Jose cracked the scoresheet in the first period with a Timo Meier goal, his fourteenth of the season, fueled by Erik Karlsson and Tomas Hertl. The Sharks added on in the second period with a Scott Harrington goal, via Kevin Labanc and Meier. San Jose extended the lead on a Karlsson power play goal, his twelfth of the year, powered by Alexander Barabanov and Hertl. The Sharks padded the lead as Nico Sturm scored his seventh of the season, with the help of Matt Benning. Philadelphia opened in the first period with a Kevin Hayes power play goal, his ninth of the season, powered by Travis Konecny and Tony DeAngelo. Washington tied it in the second period with a T.J. Oshie power play goal, his fifth of the year, helped along by Dylan Strome and Evgeny Kuznetsov. The Capitals pulled ahead in the third period with a Strome goal, his sixth of the season, coming off of John Carlson and Erik Gustafsson. Washington added on with an empty net goal by Alex Ovechkin, his fourteenth of the year, set up by Anthony Mantha and Carlson. The Capitals iced it at 4-1 with another Ovechkin empty net goal, his second of the game and fifteenth of the campaign, going in unassisted. The three stars were Strome, Ovechkin, and Carlson.

The Oilers fired back with a Nugent-Hopkins goal, his second of the game and thirteenth of the season, assisted by Kailer Yamamoto. Edmonton padded the lead on a Brett Kulak goal, his second of the year, coming off of Yamamoto and Dylan Holloway. The Oilers kept going in the third period with a Kostin goal, his second of the season, helped along by Ryan. Edmonton struck again with a McDavid goal, his twenty-third of the year, with helpers from Draisaitl and Darnell Nurse. The Oilers continued with another McDavid goal, his second of the game and twenty-fourth of the season, fueled by Zach Hyman and Barrie. The Coyotes got one back with a Shayne Gostisbehere goal, his sixth of the year, passed from Fischer and Jakob Chychrun. The final held at 8-2, with the three stars handed to McDavid, Nugent-Hopkins, and Draisaitl, while Kostin, Ryan, Yamamoto, Barrie, and Fischer get the honorable mentions.

Stateside, the Vegas Golden Knights bring in the New York Rangers. Igor Shesterkin and Logan Thompson tend the twines. New York struck first in the first period with a Kaapo Kakko goal, his fifth of the season, assisted by K'Andre Miller and Jacob Trouba. Vegas tied it in the second period with a Jonathan Marchessault power play goal, his eleventh of the year, powered by Chandler Stephenson and Shea Theodore. The Rangers took the lead in the third period with a Mika Zibanejad power play goal, his fourteenth of the season, with assists provided by Artemi Panarin and Adam Fox. New York added on with a Filip Chytil goal, his fifth of the year, guided in by Barclay Goodrow and Panarin. The Rangers extended the lead as Alexis Lafreniere scored his fifth of the season, thanks to Zibanejad and Fox. New York padded the lead on a Zibanejad power play goal, his second of the game and fifteenth of the year, with helpers from Panarin and Vincent Trocheck. The final stood at 5-1, with the three stars given to Zibanejad, Panarin, and Fox.

Finally, the San Jose Sharks host the Vancouver Canucks. Spencer Martin and Kaapo Kahkonen are in the blue paint. San Jose kicked off the scoring in the first period with a Nick Bonino goal, his second of the season, via Matt Benning and Logan Couture. Vancouver tied it on a Dakota Joshua goal, his fifth of the year, courtesy of Oliver Ekman-Larsson and Ethan Bear. The Canucks took the lead with another Joshua power play goal, his second of the game and sixth of the season, powered by Conor Garland and Ekman-Larsson. Vancouver added on in the second period with a Nils Hoglander goal, his third of the year, made possible by Bo Horvat. The Sharks got one back with a Timo Meier power play goal, his thirteenth of the season, with assists provided by Alexander Barabanov and Tomas Hertl. San Jose tied it on a Couture shorthanded goal, his fourteenth of the year, set up by Jaycob Megna. The Canucks retook the lead with an Ilya Mikheyev goal, his ninth of the season, coming off of Tyler Myers. Eetu Makiniemi replaced Kahkonen in goal for the third period. The Sharks retied it in the third period with a Jonah Gadjovich goal, going in unassisted. San Jose took the lead with a Kevin Labanc goal, his sixth of the year, passed from Hertl and Erik Karlsson. Vancouver tied it on an Andrei Kuzmenko power play goal, his thirteenth of the season, guided in by Elias Pettersson and Horvat. The Canucks won 6-5 in overtime with a Pettersson goal, his thirteenth of the year, fueled by Kuzmenko and Quinn Hughes. The three stars went to Pettersson, Joshua, and Horvat, while Kuzmenko, Ekman-Larsson, Couture, and Hertl get the honorable mentions.
