NWSL 2018 Week 21 Midweek

The only game on at midweek in the league this time features the Seattle Reign FC hosting the Chicago Red Stars. Alyssa Naeher and Lydia Williams protect the nets. Chicago's Sam Kerr took a yellow card for a handball in the twenty-seventh minute. The Red Stars' Danielle Colaprico received a yellow card for a forty-fourth minute foul. Seattle's Megan Oyster took a yellow card for a forty-seventh minute foul. Chicago's Arin Gilliland had a yellow card for a foul in the seventy-sixth minute. The teams settled for a 0-0 draw, with the woman of the match being Reign keeper Williams for her five-save clean sheet. Also strong for Seattle were Megan Oyster, Lauren Barnes, Theresa Nielsen, Morgan Andrews, and Jess Fishlock. For the Red Stars, Julie Ertz, Casey Short, Morgan Brian, and Sam Kerr led the way.

MLS 2018 Week 25 Midweek

Midweek starts early with a Tuesday game in...

Los Angeles, as the Galaxy host the Colorado Rapids. Tim Howard and David Bingham man the nets. Kortne Ford of Colorado had a yellow card for a twenty-seventh minute foul. Los Angeles saw a yellow card for a Dave Romney foul in the fiftieth minute. The Galaxy got going in the fifty-ninth minute with an Ashley Cole goal, assisted by Chris Pontius. Los Angeles' Servando Carrasco took a yellow card for his seventy-third minute foul. The Rapids tied it on an Edgar Castillo goal in the seventy-fourth minute. The Galaxy reclaimed the lead in the seventy-eighth minute on a Sebastian Lletget goal, passed from Pontius. Colorado retied it on a Niki Jackson goal, guided in by Castillo. This made it 2-2, the final, with Castillo named man of the match.

On Wednesday, DC United welcomes the Portland Timbers. Jeff Attinella and Bill Hamid are the keepers. Paul Arriola of DC had a yellow card for a thirty-third minute foul. Portland started in the thirty-fifth minute with a Samuel Armenteros goal, assisted by Andy Polo and Sebastian Blanco. DC tied it on a Wayne Rooney goal in the forty-third minute, fueled by Yamil Asad. DC took the lead in the forty-seventh minute with an Oniel Fisher goal, set up by Luciano Acosta. DC added on in the sixty-eighth minute with a Rooney goal. DC had yellow cards for fouls by Russell Canouse in the seventy-second minute and Acosta in the seventy-third minute. DC extended the lead as Darren Mattocks scored in stoppage time, thanks to Ulises Segura. Mattocks also took a yellow card for delay of game. DC won 4-1, with Rooney as the man of the match.

Midweek action ends with Los Angeles FC bringing in Real Salt Lake. Nick Rimando and Tyler Miller patrol the penalty areas. Los Angeles opened in the thirteenth minute with a Christian Ramirez goal, via Carlos Vela. Sunny of Salt Lake had a yellow card for a twenty-fourth minute foul. Los Angeles added on in the thirtieth minute with another Ramirez goal, set up by Eduard Atuesta and Jordan Harvey. In the thirty-third minute, Atuesta had a yellow card for a foul for Los Angeles. Real saw yellow cards given to Brooks Lennon in the thirty-eighth minute and Shawn Barry in the forty-third minute, both for fouls. At the start of the second half, Real switched keepers, with Rimando going off and Andrew Putna coming on. Salt Lake's Kyle Beckerman took a yellow card for dissent in the sixty-third minute, while teammate Justen Glad also got booked in the eighty-fourth minute for his foul. Los Angeles held on to win 2-0, with Ramirez named man of the match.

MLS 2018 Week 24

A new weekend of games is here, beginning with eight on Saturday. First up...

The Columbus Crew SC host the Houston Dynamo. Joe Willis and Zack Steffen play in goal. Gyasi Zardes of Columbus had a yellow card for a fifty-sixth minute foul. Houston saw yellow cards for a Leonardo foul in the eightieth minute and time wasting by Adam Lundqvist in the eighty-sixth minute. The Crew drew first blood in stoppage time with a Zardes goal, via Harrison Afful. Pedro Santos of Columbus took a yellow card six minutes later for time wasting. The final held at 1-0, with the man of the match being Steffen for his five-save clean sheet.

East to New England, as the Revolution welcome the Philadelphia Union. Andre Blake and Matt Turner are the solid keepers. Philadelphia opened in the fourteenth minute with a Jack Elliott goal, coming off of Haris Medunjanin and Borek Dockal. The Union added on with an Elliott goal in the twenty-fourth minute. New England got on the board with an Andrew Farrell goal in the forty-sixth minute, via Cristian Penilla and Teal Bunbury. Philadelphia saw yellow cards for time wasting by Blake in the fifty-seventh minute and dissent by Fabrice-Jean Picault in the sixty-third minute. The Revolution tied it on a sixty-fourth minute goal by Wilfried Zahibo, assisted by Diego Fagundez. Antonio Mlinar Delamea of New England had a yellow card for a seventy-fifth minute foul, leading to Picault's penalty kick goal to put the Union back on top. The Revolution's Kelyn Rowe had a yellow card for dissent in stoppage time. The Union won 3-2, with Elliott picked as man of the match.

Back west to Chicago, as the Fire bring in the New York Red Bulls. Luis Robles and Richard Sanchez protect the nets. Chicago saw yellow cards for dissent by Brandt Bronico in the eleventh minute and Dax McCarty's foul in the forty-second minute. New York got going in the fifty-fifth minute with a Bradley Wright-Phillips goal, helped along by Daniel Royer. The Red Bulls saw four yellow cards for fouls, given to Marc Rzatkowski in the sixty-sixth minute, Royer in the seventy-fourth minute, Alex Muyl in the seventy-sixth minute, and Michael Murillo in the eighty-ninth minute. The final remained at 1-0, with the man of the match being Wright-Phillips.

Further to the west, the Colorado Rapids host the San Jose Earthquakes. Tim Howard and Andrew Tarbell are set to start in goal. Colorado started in the twenty-fourth minute with a Tommy Smith goal, passed from Kellyn Acosta and Sam Nicholson. Jack McBean of the Rapids had a yellow card for a foul in the forty-fourth minute. San Jose tied it with a fifty-eighth minute Magnus Eriksson penalty kick goal. Kortne Ford of Colorado received a yellow card for a sixty-ninth minute foul. In the eighty-seventh minute, the Earthquakes saw Luis Felipe Fernandes take a yellow card for a foul, and they then went to ten men a minute later when Shea Salinas received a straight red card for violent conduct. In the eighty-ninth minute, San Jose's Harold Cummings had a yellow card for dissent while the Rapids' Dillon Serna was booked for a foul. Colorado took the lead in stoppage time on a Bismark Boateng goal, helped along by Edgar Castillo and Acosta. This stood for a 2-1 win, with Boateng earning man of the match honors for the late stunner.

In Utah, Real Salt Lake welcomes the Montreal Impact. Evan Bush and Nick Rimando guard the nets. Salt Lake began in the twenty-sixth minute on a Joao Plata penalty kick goal. Montreal tied it in the fifty-fifth minute with a Jukka Raitala goal, courtesy of Alejandro Silva and Saphir Taider. Daniel Lovitz of the Impact took a yellow card for a sixty-sixth minute foul. Real's Corey Baird got booked on a yellow card for a dangerous play in the seventy-fourth minute. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with the man of the match being Raitala.

Out in California, the Los Angeles Galaxy bring in Minnesota United FC. Bobby Shuttleworth and David Bingham are between the sticks. Los Angeles led off in the seventh minute with a Romain Alessandrini goal, via Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Minnesota had a yellow card for a fifty-fifth minute Michael Boxall foul. Boxall made up for it by tying the game on a sixty-fourth minute goal for Minnesota, with the help of Darwin Quintero. In the sixty-sixth minute, Francisco Calvo had a yellow card for a foul. The Galaxy took the lead back in the seventy-third minute on a Sebastian Lletget goal, courtesy of Jonathan dos Santos. Minnesota retied it on a Romario Ibarra goal in the eighty-fourth minute, made possible by Abu Danladi and Ibson. In the eighty-ninth minute, Calvo took a second yellow card for time wasting, putting Minnesota down to ten men. The score held at 2-2 for the draw, with Boxall as the man of the match.

Nearby, Los Angeles FC hosts Sporting Kansas City. Tim Melia faces a lesser foe in Luis Lopez in goal. Kansas City struck first in the seventeenth minute with a Gerso Fernandes goal, coming off of Diego Rubio. Lee Nguyen of Los Angeles had a yellow card for a foul in the thirty-sixth minute. Sporting took the lead in the sixty-sixth minute with an Ilie Sanchez penalty kick goal. Kansas City saw yellow cards for persistent infringement in the seventieth minute by Roger Espinoza and a Graham Zusi foul in the seventy-second minute. The game ended 2-0, with Fernandes the man of the match for his opening goal.

Saturday ends with the Portland Timbers welcoming the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in a Cascadia clash. Stefan Marinovic and Jeff Attinella are the keepers. Vancouver was first to score in the fourteenth minute on a Kei Kamara goal, via Kendall Waston. The Whitecaps added on with a Cristian Techera goal in the forty-third minute, assisted by Brek Shea. Techera took a yellow card for Vancouver for not retreating in first half stoppage time. The Whitecaps' Shea had a yellow card for a fiftieth minute foul. Portland got on the board with a Diego Valeri penalty kick goal in the seventy-first minute. The Timbers saw a yellow card for a David Guzman foul in the seventy-fourth minute. The Timbers couldn't tie it, losing 2-1, with Techera tabbed as man of the match.

On Sunday, Toronto FC brings in New York City FC. Brad Stuver is mismatched with Alexander Bono in goal. Toronto went down to ten men in the eleventh minute with a straight red card to Jozy Altidore for violent conduct. New York City cracked the scoresheet in the fifteenth minute with a David Villa goal, helped along by Anton Tinnerholm. Toronto retied it in the twenty-seventh minute with a Sebastian Giovinco goal, assisted by Victor Vazquez and Michael Bradley. Toronto's Jonathan Osorio took a yellow card for a thirty-fifth minute foul. New York City went ahead in the thirty-sixth minute on an Ismael-Tajouri Shradi goal, courtesy of Villa. Ebenezer Ofori of New York City took a yellow card for a thirty-seventh minute foul. In the fortieth minute, Toronto's Bradley had a yellow card for his foul. Toronto tied it again in the fifty-first minute with a Vazquez goal, made possible by Marco Delgado and Osorio. Alexander Ring of New York City took a yellow card for a foul in the fifty-fifth minute. New York City pulled ahead on a Tajouri-Shradi goal in the eighty-eighth minute. Toronto's Delgado received a yellow card for a foul in stoppage time. New York City won 3-2, with Tajouri-Shradi as the man of the match.

Stateside, DC United hosts Orlando City SC. Joe Bendik and David Ousted are the goalies. DC got the first goal in first half stoppage time as Luciano Acosta converted on a Wayne Rooney pass. Steve Birnbaum of DC had a yellow card for a forty-ninth minute foul. Orlando City got on the board as DC keeper Ousted committed an own goal in the fiftieth minute. In the fifty-fifth minute, Orlando City went down to ten men on a Cristian Higuita red card for violent conduct. DC regained the lead with an Acosta goal in the sixty-fourth minute, passed from Yamil Asad. Orlando City tied it again with a Dominic Dwyer goal, made possible by Oriol Rosell in the seventy-first minute. Amro Tarek of Orlando City received a yellow card for an eighty-sixth minute foul. Deep in second half stoppage time, DC went ahead again on Acosta's hat trick goal, set up by Rooney. Acosta received a yellow card for delay of game, but DC won 3-2, and Acosta earned man of the match honors.

Finally, the Seattle Sounders FC host FC Dallas. Jesse Gonzalez and Stefan Frei are the gloved men. Seattle kicked off the scoring in the forty-first minute with a Chad Marshall goal, assisted by Nicolas Lodeiro. In the fifty-first minute, the Sounders' Gustav Svensson took a yellow card for a foul. Dallas tied it in the fifty-second minute with a Dominique Badji goal, coming off of Michael Barrios and Maximiliano Urruti. Seattle regained the lead on a Lodeiro goal in the sixty-third minute. The Sounders' Kim Kee-Hee took a yellow card for his seventy-eighth minute foul. Dallas had a yellow card for a Reggie Cannon foul in the eightieth minute. In stoppage time, Reto Ziegler of Dallas received a controversial red card for violent conduct. Seattle held on to win 2-1, with Lodeiro claiming the man of the match title.

NWSL 2018 Week 20

Four games fill the schedule this weekend, beginning on Friday with...

The Chicago Red Stars hosting the North Carolina Courage. Katelyn Rowland and Alyssa Naeher start in goal. North Carolina started in the twenty-second minute with a Debinha goal, set up by Jessica McDonald and Crystal Dunn. Chicago tied it in the sixty-fourth minute with a Sam Kerr goal, coming off of Vanessa DiBernardo and Danielle Colaprico. Yuki Nagasato of the Red Stars took a yellow card for a seventy-second minute foul. In the eighty-seventh minute, Kristen Hamilton of the Courage received a yellow card for a foul. The game ended in a 1-1 draw, with the woman of the match being Abby Erceg. Also strong for the Courage were Samantha Mewis, Debinha, and McDonald, while the Red Stars' best were Julie Ertz, DiBernardo, Alyssa Mautz, and Kerr.

Over in New Jersey, Sky Blue FC bring in the Houston Dash. Jane Campbell and Kailen Sheridan are the young keepers. Houston opened in the seventh minute with a Rachel Daly goal, set up by Kealia Ohai. Sky Blue got on the board with a Madison Tiernan goal in the sixty-fourth minute after a deflection from Savannah McCaskill's cross. The Dash retook the lead in the seventy-third minute with a Daly penalty kick goal after a handball by Domi Richardson of Sky Blue. This led to the 2-1 final score, with Daly named woman of the match. Also leading the way for the Dash were Taylor Comeau, Clare Polkinghorne, Ohai, and Sofia Huerta, while Sky Blue's best were Amanda Frisbie, Katie Johnson, McCaskill, and Tiernan.

Finally, the Orlando Pride host the Portland Thorns FC. Adrianna Franch and Ashlyn Harris are the keepers. Portland's Christine Sinclair received a yellow card for a foul in the twenty-seventh minute. The Thorns dented the scoreboard in the forty-seventh minute on a Lindsey Horan goal, made possible by Tobin Heath. Portland added on in the fifty-third minute with a Hayley Raso goal, passed from Ana-Maria Crnogorcevic. Orlando's Marta received a yellow card for a foul in the seventy-third minute. The Thorns won 2-0, with Franch's six-save clean sheet and excellent keeping making her the woman of the match. Also strong for Portland were Emily Menges, Horan, Raso, and Heath. The Pride's best efforts came from Emily van Egmond, Dani Weatherholt, and Marta.

Utah got going in the seventy-fourth minute with a Katie Stengel goal, set up by Taylor Lytle. This stood for a 1-0 win, with Stengel earning honors as woman of the match. Also strong for the Royals were Rachel Corsie, Christen Press, Erika Tymrak, and Lo'eau Labonta, while Washington's best were Bledsoe (six for seven in saves), Mallory Eubanks, Estelle Johnson, and Taylor Smith.

NWSL 2018 Week 19

After a postponement for the one game scheduled in the international break, NWSL play returns with a four-game Sunday. First up...

The North Carolina Courage host the Portland Thorns FC. Adrianna Franch and Katelyn Rowland are set to start in goal. North Carolina began in the thirty-seventh minute with a Lynn Williams goal, set up by Jessica McDonald. The Courage added on in the forty-fifth minute with another Williams goal, after Merritt Mathias saw her cross deflect to the striker. Portland's Emily Sonnett received a yellow card for a foul in first half stoppage time, a brutal tackle on Debinha. The Thorns got one back in the forty-ninth minute with a Lindsey Horan goal, coming off of Tobin Heath. In the eighty-fifth minute, Portland's Caitlin Foord received a yellow card for a foul. The final held at 2-1, with Williams named woman of the match. Also strong for the Courage were Abby Erceg, Mathias, McCall Zerboni, Samantha Mewis, and McDonald. For the Thorns, Franch (eight for ten in saves), Horan, and Heath had good performances.

Down in Orlando, the Pride welcome Sky Blue FC. Kailen Sheridan and Ashlyn Harris protect the nets. Orlando's Kristen Edmonds received a yellow card for a thirty-second minute foul. The Pride got going in the fifty-first minute on a Marta goal after a rebound from Dani Weatherholt's shot. Sky Blue tied it in the fifty-third minute with an Imani Dorsey goal, set up by Shea Groom. Sky Blue took the lead on a Groom goal, via Savannah McCaskill. Orlando retied it as Weatherholt pursued a ball that Sheridan failed to grab, walking it into the net for the equalizer. The Pride saw yellow cards for Camila and Alanna Kennedy's fouls in the seventy-eighth minute and stoppage time. Sky Blue went down to ten women three minutes after Kennedy's foul when Carli Lloyd stopped a shot on the line with her hand, but Marta missed the ensuing penalty kick, leaving the game at 2-2. The woman of the match was Weatherholt, while the Pride also saw strong performances from Christine Nairn, Marta, and Chioma Ubogagu. Sky Blue's best were Mandy Freeman, Dorsey, Groom, and Sheridan (six for eight in saves).

West to Houston, where the Dash bring in the Utah Royals FC. Nicole Barnhart and Jane Campbell are in the six-yard boxes. Houston opened in the forty-first minute with a Veronica Latsko goal, assisted by Sofia Huerta. In the forty-eighth minute, the Dash's Huerta took a yellow card for a foul. Utah tied it in the seventy-seventh minute when Christen Press caught Amber Brooks unawares, picking her pocket and chipping a shot past Campbell for the goal. The Royals took the lead on Katie Stengel goal in the eighty-third minute, made possible by Erika Tymrak. This led to Utah winning 2-1, with the woman of the match being Press. Also strong for the Royals were Gunnhildur Jonsdottir, Becky Sauerbrunn, and Barnhart (four for five in saves). For the Dash, Clare Polkinghorne, Latsko, Huerta, and Nichelle Prince played best.

Toronto saw a yellow card for a sixtieth minute Giovinco foul. Atlanta pulled ahead on a sixty-seventh minute Martinez goal, helped along by Hector Villalba and Michael Parkhurst. Atlanta received yellow cards for Eric Remedi in the seventy-second minute and Jeff Larentowicz in the seventy-fourth minute, both for fouls. Toronto retied it in second half stoppage time with a Tosaint Ricketts goal, via Jonathan Osorio and Giovinco. Toronto ended at ten men when Chris Mavinga took a straight red card for violent conduct. The final was 2-2, with Martinez as the man of the match.

New England's Bye took a yellow card for a thirty-eighth minute foul. Sacha Kljestan of Orlando City received a yellow card for his argument in the thirty-ninth minute. Orlando City got on the board with a Dominic Dwyer goal in the forty-fifth minute, courtesy of Tony Rocha and Yoshimar Yotun. Orlando City tied it with an Amro Tarek goal in the seventy-first minute, passed from Yotun. The Revolution regained the lead on a Teal Bunbury goal in the seventy-sixth minute, made possible by Agudelo. Orlando City retied it on a Scott Sutter goal in stoppage time, set up by Yotun. A minute later, Orlando City's Dwyer had a yellow card for a foul. Near the end of the game, Yotun was ejected for violent conduct deserving of a straight red card. The game ended 3-3, with Yotun the man of the match despite the slightly early exit.

Over in Texas, FC Dallas hosts the San Jose Earthquakes. Andrew Tarbell and Jesse Gonzalez are in the six-yard boxes. Northward for Minnesota United FC welcoming the Seattle Sounders FC. Stefan Frei and Bobby Shuttleworth are the veterans in goal. Minnesota struck first in the nineteenth minute on a Darwin Quintero goal, helped along by Miguel Ibarra. Seattle's Waylon Francis had a yellow card for a foul in the seventy-eighth minute. In stoppage time, Minnesota's Ibarra took a yellow card for a handball, leading to the Sounders tying the game on a Nicolas Lodeiro penalty kick goal, which then saw the goal-scorer receive a yellow card for delay of game. East again to the Bronx, as New York City FC brings in the Vancouver Whitecaps. Stefan Marinovic and Brad Stuver are the surprising starters in goal. Vancouver kicked off the scoring in the twenty-second minute with a Nicolas Mezquida goal, set up by Bernie Ibini-Isei. New York City tied it in first half stoppage time on a Jesus Medina goal, via Anton Tinnerholm and Ismael Tajouri-Shradi. New York City took the lead in the forty-sixth minute with a Valentin Castellanos goal, helped along by Jo Inge Berget and Maximiliano Moralez. New York City had yellow cards for Ronald Matarrita in the fifty-fifth minute and Moralez in the sixty-eighth minute, for a foul and time wasting, respectively. The Whitecaps tied it on an Erik Hurtado goal in the eighty-seventh minute, coming off of Brek Shea and Russell Teibert. Alexander Callens of New York City received a yellow card for a foul in the eighty-ninth minute. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, with the man of the match being Hurtado.

Westward to Colorado, where the Rapids host the Los Angeles Galaxy. David Bingham and Tim Howard are set to start in goal. Los Angeles was first to score in the thirty-third minute with a Romain Alessandrini goal. The Galaxy had yellow cards for time wasting by Ashley Cole in the forty-first minute and Servando Carrasco's foul in the forty-fourth minute. Colorado tied it in the fiftieth minute with a Kellyn Acosta goal, assisted by Jack Price. In the sixty-second minute, Kortne Ford of the Rapids had a yellow card for a foul. Chris Pontius of the Galaxy took a yellow card for a sixty-fifth minute foul. Colorado pulled ahead on a ninetieth minute goal by Sam Nicholson, coming off of Edgar Castillo and Bismark Boateng. This was good for a 2-1 win, with the man of the match being Nicholson.

Returning to Texas, where the Houston Dynamo welcome Sporting Kansas City. Tim Melia and Joe Willis are the gloved men. Houston got into quite a disciplinary mess early in the game, with Romell Quioto taking a yellow card for a foul in the fourth minute. The Dynamo went down to ten men with a fourteenth minute straight red card for Alejandro Fuenmayor's foul, and yellow cards for dissent were issued to Alberth Elis in the fifteenth minute and Oscar Boniek Garcia in the nineteenth minute. Seth Sinovic of Kansas City had a yellow card for a twenty-second minute foul. Houston's keeper Willis had a yellow card for dissent in the seventieth minute. Sporting got going in the seventy-fourth minute with a Diego Rubio goal, made possible by Gianluca Busio and Graham Zusi. Ronaldo Pena of the Dynamo took a yellow card for a foul in the eightieth minute. In stoppage time, Kansas City's Rubio received a yellow card for a foul, followed by red cards to Houston's Darwin Ceren for violent conduct and Elis upon review of another incident. Leonardo of the Dynamo capped the ugly night with a yellow card ten minutes deep into stoppage time with his team at eight men. Sporting won 1-0, with Rubio the man of the match.

Northwest to Utah, as Real Salt Lake bring in the Chicago Fire. Stefan Cleveland and Nick Rimando are between the sticks. Salt Lake drew first blood in first half stoppage time with a Damir Kreilach goal, assisted by Jefferson Savarino. Chicago tied it on a forty-eighth minute Bastian Schweinsteiger goal, courtesy of Drew Conner. The Fire's Conner had a yellow card for a fifty-fifth minute foul. Real retook the lead in the seventy-fifth minute on another Kreilach goal, via Joao Plata and Savarino. In the ninetieth minute, Salt Lake's Marcelo Silva took a yellow card for a foul. In second half stoppage time, Schweinsteiger of Chicago received a yellow card for dissent. Real won 2-1, with Kreilach as the man of the match for his brace.

Saturday ends with the Portland Timbers hosting the Philadelphia Union. Andre Blake and Jeff Attinella guard the woodwork. Portland dented the scoreboard in the fifty-eighth minute with a Diego Valeri penalty kick goal. The Timbers added on in the eighty-fourth minute with a Dairon Asprilla penalty kick goal. Portland extended the lead as David Guzman scored in the eighty-seventh minute, thanks to Valeri. Alejandro Bedoya of Philadelphia took a yellow card for a ninetieth minute foul. The final was 3-0, with Valeri picked as man of the match.

Finally, on Sunday, the New York Red Bulls host Los Angeles FC. Tyler Miller and Luis Robles play in goal. Los Angeles' Miller took a yellow card for time wasting in the thirty-eighth minute. New York found the first goal in the thirty-ninth minute, scored by Daniel Royer. Los Angeles tied it in the fifty-third minute with a Diego Rossi goal, passed from Carlos Vela. Bradley Wright-Phillips of the Red Bulls had a yellow card for dissent in the sixtieth minute. New York regained the lead on a Royer goal in the eightieth minute, courtesy of Wright-Phillips and Marc Rzatkowski. This stood for a 2-1 win, with the man of the match being Royer for his brace.
