Pittsburgh tied it on a John Marino goal, his fourth of the year, coming off of Marcus Pettersson and Dominik Kahun. The Penguins took the lead with a Bryan Rust goal, his thirteenth of the season, courtesy of Kris Letang and Evgeni Malkin. Pittsburgh added on with a Malkin empty net goal, his ninth of the year, set up by Rust and Marino. Montreal tied it on a Nick Cousins goal, his fifth of the year, passed from Max Domi and Joel Armia in the second period. The Columbus Blue Jackets hosting the Washington Capitals. Braden Holtby and Joonas Korpisalo are in goal. Columbus led off in the first period with an Eric Robinson goal, his fourth of the season, coming off of Alexandre Texier and David Savard. The Blue Jackets added on in the third period with an Oliver Bjorkstrand goal, his eighth of the year, passed from Gustav Nyquist and Boone Jenner. Columbus extended the lead as Bjorkstrand scored again, his second of the game and ninth of the campaign, thanks to Scott Harrington and Andrew Peeke. This made it 3-0, the final, with the three stars being Korpisalo (30 save shutout), Bjorkstrand, and Robinson.

Over in New York, the Rangers welcome the Nashville Predators. Juuse Saros and Alexandar Georgiev are the backups in goal. The Jets added on with a Luca Sbisa goal, his second of the year, passed from Neal Pionk and Adam Lowry. Philadelphia got on the board in the second period with a Matt Niskanen power play goal, his fourth of the season, powered by Kevin Hayes and James van Riemsdyk. Winnipeg shot back with a Wheeler power play goal, his ninth of the year, with assists provided by Josh Morrissey and Mark Scheifele.
