The Predators pulled ahead on a Bonino goal, his thirteenth of the season, with a lone assist by Mattias Ekholm. Nashville extended the lead as Rocco Grimaldi scored his fifth of the year, with the help of Forsberg. Semyon Varlamov replaced Greiss to start the third period. The Predators padded the lead in the third period with a Calle Jarnkrok goal, his twelfth of the season, assisted by Ryan Johansen and Yakov Trenin. Pittsburgh added on with a Malkin empty net goal, his ninth of the year, set up by Rust and Marino. The Sharks retied it on a Hertl goal, his second of the game and fourteenth of the year, passed from Brent Burns. Arizona pulled ahead with an Oliver Ekman-Larsson goal, his third of the campaign, courtesy of Taylor Hall. This stood for a 3-2 win, with the three stars given to Ekman-Larsson, Hertl, and Hall.
