2015/16 KHL Season - Day 28

Just three games on today, beginning with...

Dynamo Moscow hosting SKA St. Petersburg. Mikko Koskinen and Alexander Lazushin guard the cages. St. Petersburg led off in the first period on an Anton Burdasov goal, assisted by Vadim Shipachyov and Evgeny Dadonov. SKA added on in the second period with a Yegor Yakovlev power play goal, powered by Jarno Koskiranta. Moscow got on the board with a Maxim Pestushko goal, going in unassisted. Dynamo tied it on a power play goal by Mat Robinson, made possible by Alexei Tsvetkov and Martins Karsums. Moscow took the lead in the third period on a Karsums power play goal, guided in by Tsvetkov and Karpov. This made it 3-2, the final, with the three stars being Karsums, Tsvetkov, and Robinson.

Out in Croatia, Medvescak Zagreb welcomes Vityaz Podolsk. Harri Sateri and Danny Taylor are called on to start in goal. Zagreb began in the first period with a Jesse Saarinen goal, passed from Gilbert Brule and Thomas Larkin. Podolsk tied it on a Roman Horak goal in the third period, courtesy of Mario Kempe. Medvescak took the lead back on a Geoffrey Kinrade goal, via Colby Genoway. Zagreb added on as Radek Smolenak scored, thanks to Tomas Mertl and Marek Kvapil. This produced the 3-1 final, with Taylor (17 for 18 in saves), Kinrade, and Smolenak named the three stars.

Finally, Slovan Bratislava brings in Dinamo Riga. Joacim Ericsson and Barry Brust are in the blue paint. Riga got going in the second period as Lauris Darzins scored an unassisted goal. Bratislava tied it in the third period on a Milan Bartovic goal, fueled by Cam Barker and Filip Novak. Slovan took the lead as Lukas Kaspar scored, with the help of Ladislav Nagy and Michel Miklik. Dinamo tied it on a Mikelis Redlihs goal, with assists provided by Tim Sestito and Krisjanis Redlihs. Bratislava took the game 3-2 on a Rok Ticar goal in overtime, with helpers from Tomas Starosta and Ziga Jeglic. The three stars belonged to Ticar, Kaspar, and Bartovic.
