NWSL 2019 - Week 24

The final week of the regular season is here, beginning with...

The North Carolina Courage hosting Sky Blue FC. Kailen Sheridan and Katelyn Rowland are in goal. North Carolina began in the 16th minute with a Jessica McDonald goal. Sky Blue tied it in the 26th minute with a Carli Lloyd goal, via Raquel Rodriguez. The Courage replied in the 28th minute with a Debinha goal, passed from Cari Roccaro. North Carolina added on in the 82nd minute with another McDonald goal, set up by Debinha and Lynn Williams. Sky Blue got one back in the 86th minute with a Domi Richardson goal. The final stood at 3-2, with McDonald as the woman of the match.

Down south, the Orlando Pride welcome Reign FC. Casey Murphy and Ashlyn Harris are the keepers. Orlando led off in the 24th minute with a Rachel Hill goal, coming off of Claire Emslie. Reign's Allie Long took a yellow card for a foul in the 27th minute. Reign tied it in the 34th minute with a Darian Jenkins goal, via Steph Catley. In the 39th minute, Marta of the Pride received a yellow card for a foul. Reign took the lead with a Jodie Taylor goal in the 41st minute, set up by Rumi Utsugi. Reign's Kristen McNabb picked up a yellow card for a foul in the 59th minute. Orlando tied it in the 86th minute with a Marta goal. Reign's Celia Jimenez Delgado saw a yellow card for an 89th minute foul. Abby Elinsky of the Pride received a yellow card for her foul in stoppage time. The final remained at 2-2, with the woman of the match being Marta.

West to Houston, as the Dash bring in the Utah Royals FC. Nicole Barnhart and Jane Campbell protect the nets. Utah opened in the 3rd minute with a Christen Press goal, via Katie Stengel. The Royals added on in the 23rd minute with an Amy Rodriguez goal, courtesy of Vero Boquete. Houston had yellow cards for fouls by Sophie Schmidt and Ari Romero in the 26th and 29th minutes, respectively. In the 70th minute, Utah's Mallory Weber and the Dash's Rachel Daly each took yellow cards for fouls. Houston got on the board with a Kristie Mewis goal in the 78th minute, set up by Sofia Huerta. The final was 2-1, with the woman of the match being Rodriguez.

Finally, the Portland Thorns FC host the Washington Spirit. Aubrey Bledsoe and Adrianna Franch are the gloved women. The game ended as it started, a 0-0 draw with no discipline. Bledsoe was the woman of the match for a five-save clean sheet.
