Minnesota retook the lead with an Eriksson Ek goal, his nineteenth of the season, fueled by Jonas Brodin and Brock Faber. Up in Detroit, the Red Wings bring in the Tampa Bay Lightning. Andrei Vasilevskiy and Alex Lyon man the nets. Tampa Bay led off in the first period with a Victor Hedman goal, his ninth of the season, assisted by Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point. Detroit tied it on a Lucas Raymond goal, his thirteenth of the year, via Dylan Larkin and David Perron. The Red Wings took the lead with a Daniel Sprong goal in the second period, his twelfth of the season, coming off of J.T. Compher. The final held from here at 2-1, with the three stars being Sprong, Raymond, and Lyon (27 for 28 in saves).
East to New York, as the Islanders host the Dallas Stars. Scott Wedgewood and Ilya Sorokin patrol the creases. New York began in the first period with an Alexander Romanov goal, his fifth of the season, made possible by Mathew Barzal and Noah Dobson. Dallas tied it in the second period with a Jason Robertson goal, his sixteenth of the year, via Joe Pavelski and Radek Faksa. The Stars took the lead with a Nils Lundkvist goal, his second of the season, assisted by Sam Steel and Pavelski. The Islanders retied it in the third period with a Hudson Fasching goal, his third of the year, passed from Dobson and Brock Nelson. New York won 3-2 in overtime with a Bo Horvat goal, his nineteenth of the campaign, guided in by Barzal. The three stars went to Barzal, Dobson, and Pavelski.
Out west, the Anaheim Ducks welcome the New York Rangers. Igor Shesterkin and Lukas Dostal are in the blue paint.
