NWSL 2019 - Week 16
It's a new week of NWSL action with a pair of games each scheduled on Friday and Saturday. First up...
The Houston Dash host Reign FC. Casey Murphy and Jane Campbell are the young keepers. Reign led off in the 21st minute with a Rosie White goal on a rebound. Reign saw yellow cards for delay of game by Darian Jenkins in the 80th minute and the keeper Murphy in the 85th minute. In stoppage time, Houston's Christine Nairn took a yellow card for a foul. The final remained at 1-0, with White tagged as woman of the match.
Next up, the North Carolina Courage welcome the Washington Spirit. Originally scheduled for Friday, the game was postponed to Saturday due to weather. Aubrey Bledsoe and Stephanie Labbe are the talented keepers for the rescheduled match. Mark-Anthony Kaye of LAFC took a yellow card for a 51st minute foul. LAG took the lead on an Ibrahimovic goal in the 56th minute, made possible by Polenta.
