Out west, the Vegas Golden Knights bring in the Montreal Canadiens. Keith Kinkaid is mismatched with Marc-Andre Fleury in goal. Montreal began in the first period with a Phillip Danault goal, his fifth of the season, via Shea Weber and Tomas Tatar. Vegas tied it with a William Karlsson goal, his fourth of the year, fueled by Jonathan Marchessault and Reilly Smith. The Golden Knights took the lead on an Alex Tuch goal, assisted by Nate Schmidt and Cody Eakin. The Canadiens retied it in the second period with a Jonathan Drouin goal, his seventh of the season, coming off of Mike Reilly and Max Domi. The Golden Knights retook the lead with a third period Cody Glass goal, his third of the year, passed from Eakin. Vegas added on with a Mark Stone goal, his eighth of the season, with a lone helper from Max Pacioretty. Montreal pulled back with an unassisted Tatar goal, his fourth of the year. The Canadiens tied it as Brendan Gallagher scored his seventh of the season, thanks to Joel Armia. Montreal won 5-4 in overtime on a Domi goal, his fourth of the year, fueled by Jeff Petry. The three stars went to Domi, Tatar, and Eakin.
